Isn't mail returned after 30 days if you die?

I’ve been playing HC since the beginning and my first character died at level 54. I was sure that I would reach level 60 so I bought generously in the Ah with my BankCharacter (Warden Staff was the big item I got for 100g). I sent everything to my level 54 druids who were still alive at the time. Of course, as fate would have it, I died two hours later. So all the good loot was in my druid mailbox. I haven’t moved the druid since then so he was still on the realm and I had the post icon on the map that is the mail in the mailbox. Now 30 days have passed and I logged in to my Dead Druid again and the post symbol is no longer there. However, the mail was not sent back to the bank character. Is it all gone now?

I don’t think so, it will be expired to prevent it being used as bank mail if I vaguely remember it. If I misremember it can take up to a hour if sent backwards. However, you can restore it yourself here:

Every 15 days, this is important since Blizzard will not assist unless it goes on CD without anything happening.

Stay safe next time in HC, its a dangerous world out there.

Don’t buy and mail expensive items before going to a dangerous area, do it after.
