WARP does not seem to work for me, I still do have the same high MS.
Vodafone Romania user, and it really is a pain to play.
The only alternative that actually worked it ExitLag, but it is a paid service.
Indeed, not only vodafone; here in Italy I’m also having terrible latency (600-800 ms) and I use tim, however it’s a big coincidence how the problem started since the reset, when mythic boes came in the market, it could be related to the additional traffic. Mine can be solved with a vpn.
Greetings.
I wanted to ask you something since you seem to have a lot of knowledge about this.
Do you know or is it known where Blizzard has their servers based in Europe, which country?
Same here. Italy and im using Tim. I did some test on other games and all went smooth. Just Wow is unplayable
I confirm routing issues from Italy. I use TIM from Rome and usually have 26 ms latency… since yesterday it has increased significantly, above 6000, and it’s impossible to play. Like last time, it must be the Seabone connection between Italy and Blizzard. Please report this and get it resolved.
Tim \ Italy, unplayable since yesterday night
Thank you very much! Really appreciated!
TIM from Italy, 13k ms latency
Tim here, unplayable
Update: can’t even enter in game loading bar stuck at 95%
update 2 : in game 10 sec of lag from Italy (tim provider) no issues on other games
Since I’m from Italy and have Tim as well, I suggest to the people from my same Country to try the solution offered by OP at least till the situation is gonna be back to normal. For me it’s working (35 ms home and 48 ms world).
I confirm that with WARP everything is back to normal
Can also use a vpn and connect from a country which doesn’t have issues, I have a couple of dutch friends here who never ever have lag issues when I do and indeed netherlands works with a powerful enough vpn, goes to my usual 26 ms compared to the current 800-4k with the routing issues.
i have no idea on how to do it,also i think if u pay for a service u should not have such bad lag like this for days.As said before i tested on many online games(for free most of em) and no lag at all. Ty for suggest thou.
Tried the vpn as well, but I’ve better latency with Warp. At this point, everything goes if it serves as a temporary solution to this extremely annoying issue.
I can confirm that the workaround with WARP works
Not just one country, they have servers in multiple countries,
including Ireland, the UK, France (becuase they were originally a French company based out of Versailles)…
However, the specific locations, as in what cities/datacentres is commercially sensitive and never disclosed.
Indeed, so for example proton vpn for me solved the issue, while urban vpn is not powerful enough and in the past exitlag also worked really well, but it only offers a few days of free trial, after that have to pay 5\10€ per month, but tbh they deserve their money more than others, as at least they allow us to play with proper latency, even so I didn’t go for it and proton vpn is my solution for now.
Also an update: when it comes to tim in Italy, the problem seems solved, I’m in with no vpn atm and latency seems back to normal, it’s also peak time, so unlikely that there’s gonna be more traffic at any other time of the day.
Warp works for me too but there is an issue still present with those connections.
I am not getting routed through the US but the ping gets too high some days(going through french servers), especially in the evening. Have to turn on the vpn so i can play the game.
Vodafone isp
Still having close to 200 ms WORLD/HOME, every single day, around 75 ms at night. Unplayable, raiding and m+ is a pain. The solution seems to be to pay for a VPN to play the game after we already pay for the subscription of the game. Vodafone didn’t know what to do about it and apparently neither does Blizzard or maybe they just don’t care since not everyone is affected by it.
