As a healer I play solo shuffle a lot. I’m playing right now at 1,9 -2,1 cr. What can I see?
I see on mmr 1,9 - 2,2 mmr dps with 0 cr or 300 cr, full green geared, pve geared or total non skill players, rest ofc. full epic pvp.
I do whatever I can, but when dps’s can’t even use deffenses or hug pillar when needed I can’t do much more.
Mostly the games ends with 3:3 so I loose mmr and cr or even worse, for a bit of luck for them somehow they win 1 game, so it becomes for me 2:4 or for other healers and it’s not a issue with a skill but only random luck.
I think for players who starting pvp journey or non geared alts should be mmr 1500 (with 0 cr) or lower so they can learn or gear up. So on higher than 1500 should be only people better geared and with their skill, they should go up with rankings so it shouldn’t be 0 cr on 2k+ mmr.
So I got question for other pvp healers what’s your feelings with this?
And question for Blizzard do You want to change something or it’s gonna looks like now, cause it’s seems like no fun from pvp as a healer right now
If you play at starter mmr after 900 shuffles then its probably skill issue not bad luck. On the other hand i agree inflation is bad and people should start at 1500. Such change would however mean you would prolly end up playing at 1500 instead of 1900 and people like elahra would never ever see elite gear.
It is the biggest gripe of anyone healing shuffle and there is no change in sight. You can either 1) accept it and eat dirt, 2) play SS as a damage dealer and enjoy the inflated mmr, 3) heal in blitz and enjoy the inflated mmr there.
Thats a end of season problem. A dps goes 6:0 and is suddenly 1900----> 2,2 mmr , a healer goes 5:1 and goes from 1900 mmr —> 1,880 mmr in the placement games
It is how it is, just gotta power through this games and hope you can chain some 4:2 / 5:1 to balance out the mmr drops from the 3:3
Well the best option for healers is blitz, arena is deflated and shuffles you get less than dps. If you really want to minmax you can mw or prevoker in blitz and they gain rating more than healer in ss or arena.
Thats the problem. Healer lose mmr through 3:3, or rather the mmr is moved closer to the cr, meaning that ´´no gear andys´´ which force 3:3, lead to healer losing mmr puffers that later lead to wins bringing less and loses hurting more.
While dps get the 4:2 and increase their mmr growths, so they can lose more afterwards again without feeling it as much after chaining a few of this lobbys.
Thats the whole issue with the end of season healer mmr, since your games start to differ a lot. Not to forget you also now have long que time. 2k mmr is like 2 minutes and 2,4 mmr is like 4-5 minutes now? Nah not worth the stress without instant ques
all they need to do, is giving healer slight mmr growth from 3:3 an I assume healer mmr will soon be even with dps mmr.
And yes I know that isnt how mmr should usually work, compared to chess, but chess mmr also works with the concept of full control of your games.
Solo shuffle for healers is a 1v1 game. Whoever can win with the dog of the lob wins the lobby. Yeah, at high mmr it’s impossible to do it, but at high mmr you don’t get 0 cr/gear andys. Or at least, it’s very unusual unless a glad/r1 player is gearing up his alt.
Also, a 0 cr andy doesn’t necessarily bring down the mmr of the lobby. He can still be high mmr with 0 cr/gear.
If you want rating you don’t choose a healer. It’s 100x times easier to get your rating as dps.
Healing solo shuffle is just for gearing alts/farming honor to make gold.
But yes, people should start at 1500 mmr, regardless how high they were last season.
This sadly cause they refuse do anything about it since shuffle were introduced to the game.
They should reset mmr each season. If they dont, well then we have people with 2.4 with 30% win etc cause whatever helped them from previous season.
Somebody starts mid of expansion and his obviously not going to get 2.4 with negative win if he has to start from scratch, its not exactly fair or sensical system at all. All we know there could be some major balance issue on last season and someone took 3k with retri during it and then it was fixed for next season and we find out that they were not good at all without the overtuned buffs on their class but they bank negative win seasonal achievements on next season with whatever mmr carries them from last season. Its pretty bonkers all in all if think of it, all of it is completely nonsensical regards of “skill” or competition. There should not be such huge overtuning or balance issues what we see or lack of meaningful tuning, and there should not be any mmr that carries “free” ranks from previous seasons.
The biggest gripe is that we’re punished for the DPS playing bad.
I just had a game where I played pretty damn good. I would have gone 6-0 if it wasn’t for a lock that thinks he should port when he’d live if he didn’t.
I had prayer of mending jumping between him and the other dps when I got CC’d, he had guardian spirit on him, my lightwell was healing.
He decides to port and dies because there’s no longer any prayer of mending jumping or lightwell healing him. Then he says he was “dead even if he stayed”, no. These people have no idea how holy priests work, he’s getting healed from my lightwell + pom jumps but instead decides to just port out of there so the lightwell isn’t healing him and pom isn’t jumping any more. If he didn’t port, he would have gotten enough healing from pom + lightwell with guardian spirit up to not die before the CC was over on me.
I can almost with 100% certainty say that if healers were in charge of DPS defensives and their casts and so on, they would win far more games than they do now. Like bro got 3x consecutive sanctified grounds and he was still trying to fake cast when he’s literally immune to interrupts.
Augmentation evoker putting enemy healer on perma fear DR by spamming sleep walk on him even when nothing is happening.
Why?
“I disrupt gameplay”.
Ok but nothing is happening when you’re sleep walking him and then I can’t CC him when something is happening. So what does it matter to “disrupt gameplay” when it accomplishes nothing.
If I was in control of his sleep walk, the enemy healer would’ve lost all rounds against that evoker, instead he wins all rounds against him and loses all rounds with him because he’s just keeping me on perma DR so they can’t CC me when against me, resulting in the aug evoker going 0-6.
Yes, literally only options to heal right now if care minmax. Blitz is easy and free and shuffle they get inted by bad design and gain less then dps and arena is deflated so you fight multi r1’s on some 2200mmr.
Even when new season starts you dont start at 1500 mmr which is what He proposed. If you reach duelist or something you get your rival even with negative w/l. You basically missed whole point just cos you felt offended by truth.
But sure. I got duelist season 1(are you gonna say this was inflated now as well?) & 2 of TBC. I’ll get the elite set on any class I want it on.
The only thing shuffle has done is make me not have to sit through joining people in LFG or having people join me and play until the first loss and then they leave.
