I am not sure if this is a bug or if I just don’t know how to make it work. After the new expansion that allowed Evokers flying without dragoriding mounts I have found that when starting a race, my Evoker summons the first dragonriding mount (Renewed Proto-Drake), and I don’t know how to make it summon other mounts for the races.
Edit. Issue solved. No bug regarding races with Evokers. Just have to mount the dragonriding mount you want, but Soar cannot be used at least yet.
Did you talk to the NPC that opted to use that Drake only for Dragon racing?
If your not dragon mounted and talk to the NPC to start a race it will auto mount you on one of your dragon mounts as the countdown starts. To avoid that just mount up on your preferred mount before you talk to the NPC.
There’s now no reason we shouldn’t be able to just do it with soar tho
It does that for everyone, if you want a specific mount you need to mount it first.
Thank you. I guess the problem was that I tried to “mount myself” as an Evoker and use Soar to go through the races. In that case it will automatically summon a mount for you.
Yeah, it’s a pity. Was recently logging in with me Evoker after having read about the changes to soar and wanted to do the dragon races - doesn’t work there… so, the only reason that would have made me play the toon again is gone.
