Issues Progressing to "The War Within" - Need Assistance

Hello,

I am a new player, having started playing World of Warcraft this year, and I really enjoy the game. However, I’ve encountered an issue that has been preventing me from progressing for the past couple of months. I have completed the Dragonflight campaign and am trying to continue my adventure into The War Within. Here’s the problem: I can’t move forward.

My character is level 70, so I meet the requirements to start the expansion. I have been in contact with GMs for a couple of weeks seeking assistance, but they haven’t been able to guide me through the issue. I’ve also submitted multiple bug reports, but nothing has been resolved yet. This is my last resort.

Here are the specific issues I’m facing:

1. When I go to Dalaran to pick up “Visions of Azeroth”, Khadgar is not present where he should be.
2. The quest does not appear when I try to manually start “A Poor Reception” in Silithus
3. I’ve used the Wowhead Quest Completion Tracker to check if I can pick up any additional quests on the Dragon Isles. I’ve visited every exclamation point I can find, but there are no quests available.

I would greatly appreciate any tips or guidance that could help me move forward with my adventure.

In case this is some kind of quest or phasing issue, please tell us the name and realm of your level 70 character. We can investigate that.

I got your character Jeggster from your link. I’ll hunt around, but please answer the questions below anyway; I suspect something has gone wrong with your WoW account level more than I suspect phasing here.

Also, please list all quests you have in your Quest Log.

Now my main questions:

• Has your XP bar disappeared on your Level 70?
• When did you buy The War Within expansion?
• Which version did you buy?
• On the front of your BattleNet client when you get ready to load the game, under
  GAME VERSION AND ACCOUNT
  do you see

above the PLAY button?

Thanks for the quick reply. After reading your questions, I now realize the answer – I haven’t actually purchased The War Within. I didn’t think I needed to buy it since I didn’t have to for Dragonflight. As I mentioned, I’m a new player here hahaha. I guess it’s time to buy the expansion so I can continue my adventure!

Yes. The way Blizzard work it is: you have to buy the current expansion of Retail to play it.

You can play all previous expansions, and the Classic versions of WoW, on gametime alone, but you do have to buy the latest expansion every two years.

They say it can take up to 72 hours for your account to be updated to include TWW, but it is usually much faster than that.
