My whole General and Local Defense chat is people venting that the world quests are impossible to complete with 15 others running around trying to do the same thing. Blizzard has been trying to cater to solo players, and yet still punishes us in the form of world quests. And forming a raid eliminates credit and completion, so even if you have five groups of five we’ll still be competing and running around like chickens with our heads lopped off.
C’mon Blizzard. Stay to your mission and your word that you’d respect player’s time and autonomy.
I really love this game but sometimes the quality of life changes just aren’t there. You’re doing a pretty good job, but more still needs to be done. If there’s more people doing an activity then there are mobs for, up the respawn rate. Let items be shared or respawn faster.
And why is putting flowers on goats so difficult when there’s like a 3 minute cooldown on each person being able to put them on, in a very small area, with very limited amount of goats.

For the same reason we fight for mining, herb and fishing nodes.
For the same reason that rare bosses, regardless of how rare, do not instantly respawn when defeated.
For the same reason we fight for titles exclusive to 1% or 0.1% of playerbase.
Artificial friction to increase engagement.
I’m not even phased by world bosses or heavy titles. I just think something as minor as world quests shouldn’t take so long to complete just because you have other people doing it too. I get I’m not gonna complete every delve, or be able to get that rare mount, or anything that requires a lot of effort.
But world quests? C’mon they’re supposed to be basic fetch and kill quests.
It does feel intentional but I don’t understand why. Everyone I know of simply just does less world quests. They don’t wanna be there and fight others to complete a world quest. They’re already less rewarding with the gold rewards being squished in a 5th of what they were too.

Time sink and nothing else …
Look at this Delve at tier 8 ~ give 2 Runed Harbringer crest ~ If someone want’s to cap =(Casual people ~ people who won’t raid in Hc or do any Mythic+ above 5) They need 45 delves.
The average time to clear i would say 20 min ~
20 min x 45 runs =900 mins or 15 Hours… Nah:D
Oh Did several 11 , they give as well 2 crests…(talking about creativity )
Like i said anything in this game is a time sink with the worse thing being the gated content …
For home and family.
That’s what a panda told me once anyway. Didn’t believe him then either.

I’d suggest enabling PvP. You’re essentially in another phase entirely and I’ve found that it helped get stuff done quicker than waiting for respawns in some cases.

Until every one turns on war-mode then starts to gank one another and we have a whole new bunch of complaint threads.
The simplest is to just allow the share kills and up the respawn timer.

I’m surprised we aren’t more often.
We occupy a shared world, right? There’s one item on the ground, not 4 because we’re 4 people.
I think that if you group up and collect the items you can go to the quest hand-in together instead of all having to collect the same item. You compete with people outside your group. Don’t wanna do that? Invite them and chat it up.
It is frustrating that this is still happening. I sympathise.
This morning I did a quest in the Ringing Deeps and the mobs were so scarce. Soon as they spawned they were killed.

Except its not, Blizzard have fixed this many times before but then seemingly forget they did and revert it next time they put out similar quests. It is baffling.

Because this is Wow…if they change the fundamentals of the game people are just gonna complain that “this doesn’t even feel like wow anymore”
The game has always been like this?
If you can’t finish a quest come back later simple as that.
It’s not like you have to do a world quest as soon as it’s available…
Some of those world quest spots take ages not just because there are many people there but because spawn rates are terrible.
Taking ages to kill 10 or so Goblins the other day was irritating.
Was doing a WQ in Ringing Deeps this morning that involved collecting 12 stones in a mine, then tossing them into lava to get tempered…
Even being in a party it wasn’t shared… wasted 30 minutes fighting to grab those stupid stones.

Every time i come over a wq like that i send in a suggestion for blizz to change it. They probably dont even read it, but at least im giving feedback. Would think they would know better by now with having done so many wq’s over the last expansions…

Woah.
I guess you never knew you could just do OTHER WQs??
It was literally my last WQ, and I’m after Rep… no need for an obnoxious response.

Ah yes, another WoW must be purist with no quality of life changes because the nostalgia of competing for mobs is too great.

I was doing a world quest today, that goblin one in the Ringing Deeps. I actually had to leave and come back later as the spawns were taking so long, I only had to kill 12 mobs

Something I’ve been saying this for a long time.
For absolutely no reason this game, outdoors, becomes ridiculously easier when you do stuff at inhumane hours like 4 am - then all rares are up, nobody is doing stuff against you etc.
Plenty of examples I don’t have time to list but it’s always been there - you are punished for playing during prime time - you are rewarded if you are an unemployed hermit or someone working during a night shift.
