There are more chances of WWIII than WoW dying… and that is a fact
It depends on what the extras are. I often get the special edition, but there needs to be something in there that interests me…
Dragon mount; don’t care. Dragon pet; don’t care. Earlier access to Dracthyr (maybe?); don’t care.
Maybe if there’s a cool explorer outfit (please no dragon aesthetic nonsense though).
Not even opening classic killed wow retail so yeah, pretty much nothing can beat wow.
i recall an alliance quest chain in northrend with thassarian
one quest reward being a green trinket with a proc
maybe i can get my velf rogue and dk alts to 60 from northrend
ah yes its called death knights anguish stacking crit on melee attacks
Cant say much about dying or not…But lately I find myself doubting A LOT between lingering my torment here with dragons or trying a whole new frontier of torment by migrating to FF. Both seems as fun as garroting myself with barbed wire, maybe Im really burnt out for MMOs.
Same here, been considering FF myself a lot recently, WoW has only been spiraling down since Cata. Personally for me as a Loyalist and Shaman main since TBC its always been a thorn in the eye for self-expression, to not be able to play either Forsaken or Belf Shaman. With Sylvanas out of the picture, no new race/class options for Shaman and the Forsaken narrative being torn apart the reasons to stick around just keep getting less.
There is a catch though. You can create a new talent tree that feels new at the beginning and try to stick to it for future expansions but you will have to reset it at every expansion at least to a certain extent (maybe ultimate talents) and maybe make some tweaks here and there. You can’t just keep adding talents to the existing ones because that would create enormous balance problems and compromise class-uniqueness in that talents from different classes will start resembling each other. That is why they had to introduce borrowed power. And that is why I believe this “new talent tree” excitement is destined to wear off already with 11.0 when everybody will realize that 10.0 skill tree was also just borrowed for the expansion.
I just started playing FF and it’s pretty fun. It’s free up to level 60, so you’ve got nothing to lose by trying it. Especially if you’re no longer enjoying WoW.
I don’t know why balancing is such a big issue, I always liked idea of classic wow warriors almost oneshotting you when they get close to you (I was a hunter in classic so it felt like when warrior comes close and I don’t have trap- I am dead and I cannot do anything about that), and it felt good, every class had it’s own uniqueness and it is good for game, same way as paladins died hard they didn’t do very big dmg unless they crit, that was good too, because you see now paladins being totally broken because they balanced their dmg with other classes while being one of the best healing class in game, same with ferals, so there is even bigger balancing problem now then it used to be in classic. Every class should feel special in its own way and should provide benefits in its own way in PVE content, I liked that they added enha shamans windfury totem again so his melee group can benefit from it, we need more things like that, that’s for sure, and it is very RPG like because in RPG games you always have that kind of vibe going on.
indeed there are title achievements for getting some jobs to certain levels
which can be sped up with boosts(only do solo content with my healers)
did few for a goddess of magic title
however their 5vs5 new pvp mode is same as our bgs
melee gets to do insane dmg out of nowhere and cc lock until your dead still exist in both
and ofc my main there has alot of cosmetic choices
but because also skimpy gear there works for the male players just as it is for females
my main with mostly caster jobs 2 healers and 2 melee
a catgirl with purple lightning hair a bikini top(swimwear separate set same with the hair)
hidden gloves and 2b legs and boots dyed in general purpose metallic purple dye
with a headpiece thats basicly a flower
how big is the rng on the flower crown from mists second boss?
Yeah cos classic didnt have bis builds
Heirlooms are always a later patch
And thats never happened before with galdiator and ksm mounts
Already confirmed you dont
Theyre not getting rid of such addons and theres no reason to unless your bad
Got ksm just fine as ret main
Low effort troll
But you don’t need to always add new talents. Sometimes just getting the 10-ish extra talent points from the new levels would be good to allow your character to feel more powerful, being able to grab and fully level up 2-3 talents that you couldn’t reach before. And talent trees need to be expanded every now and then, when players run out of places to dump talent points in.
Then, if Blizz runs out of places to expand talent trees, they can add further specializations that have their own talent trees, or even subclasses which would be cool. All as permanent additions to the game.
The problem with borrowed power is that it is not permanent addition to the game. You farm it only for Blizz to delete it. Not only does this stink as an experience, but it also causes expansions to age like milk. WoD still has the best leveling in the whole game, because you can largely ignore the borrowed power, but everything else… feels gutted now. Legion, BFA and Shadowlands are all disjointed experiences hurt by their inclusion of borrowed power.
No. When MoP came out, the trend in western MMORPG development was to cut back on options. The mentality was “all players use the same builds anyway, so they don’t need the option to deviate”. All MMOs were getting excessively streamlined with choice being taken away from the players. After MoP, Blizz had realized (and Ion even said it 2 years ago) that there wasn’t a way to make playing the game feel rewarding, as just getting 7 talent points over the whole game… feels like garbage. It feels like you’re not getting anything. So borrowed power was added because the game was deleted.
there was wishful thinking of a prepatch where scourge(any enemy?) attacks stormwind/orgrimmar
and we defend it like helms deep if only
I didn’t play during WoD and playing it now, I really can’t fathom why it was so hated. I know I missed out on all the endgame but WoD’s zones are my favorite in all of WoW. xD The story also - quite good, with decent character drama, ups and downs, humor and seriousness. Looking at it right now, and I wish I was joking, WoD looks like one of WoW’s best expansions.
Again - I missed it while it was relevant, so I have no idea what went wrong with it.
Time to change/consider you mind. Has what is provided already, served you idea, You, so far? Are you contributing to a larger picture? a community if you will? or just a bubble.
Massive content drought.
I rlly think you need to read more, there is much more tbh and some parts you say is so untrue. Like gearing in the world it’s so good now you can get 252 with an item of 259 and 2 291 legendaries you don’t need more tbh
But this is also mega boring, excuse me. So in the end it is always the same skills and all you do you just make them stronger. WoW what a game changing experience
I prefer borrowed power then. At least you’ve got something new to look forward to each expansion
FF14 is fun until you have the story to go through. Once you finish the story it’s all over unless your like roleplaying, the end game loop of FF14 is even more boring than the one in WoW. Get your 450 badges a week, get one piece of gear every 1-2 weeks, rinse and repeat until geared and then wait for the next patch.
