I’ve been playing this game for 15+ years already, we even met my wife here. And recently my wife came to live together with me in Croatia where I live and decided to change the country for her account. The request was insanely simple, we attached the rental agreement where she is included together with me, and we attached the registration form she received from the police department that says she is not a tourist and registered at this address. After that, there were several answers (probably AI-based, but I’m not sure) with the information that the country cannot be changed. Finally, the person appeared and requested some bills. We attached the bill with the mobile/internet. Obviously, I am paying for all the home rental and other staff, but at least she has a SIM card.
And imagine, after that, another support engineer came and said that the account could not be transferred to KAZAKHSTAN because we provided some false documents. Kazakhstan, what? It was never mentioned anywhere, both me and my wife have never been to Kazakhstan, so I have no clue why it appeared at all.
But after that, the ticket was closed because obviously, we didn’t provide enough information to move the account to Kazakhstan because we live in Croatia.
After that another ticket was opened with the same information, but it was immediately closed because the same ticket had been closed recently, and nobody cared about the mystery of the appearance of Kazakhstan…
We don’t really know what to do next, we want to play together, my wife has full t3/hand of Adal/tons of mounts on her account so she doesn’t want to register a new one. And she is really sad because of the situation she wasn’t listened to and some incompetency of the support engineer ruined all her plans.
You can (or could) phone Blizzard support on the US or UK number. I’m not sure if there are other numbers for other countries, but might be worth investigating?
There is no phone support. Only certain issues qualify for live support. The rest is done through tickets. I appreciate it can be frustrating at times but if they answer the wrong thing reopen the ticket using the ‘i still have an issue’ option at the bottom.
If it’s closed open a new ticket referencing the old one.
I have no idea where you got that from, but it’s completely wrong. You used to be able to contact them by phone call-back many years ago but the option hasn’t existed for years. Also sending an email to that address is pointless - so far as I know it doesn’t exist any more.
The only way to contact them if you have a problem is via ticket.
As you can see from the blurb you posted there is no number for support.
You are not helping the OP at all. The only way to reach CS is via tickets. As I said for some things live support is offered but those are very limited situations.
LOL - I removed the number in case it was out of date or a mod didnt like me posting it and removed the entire message. I also found another Blizzard page which lists both the US and UK support numbers. It is possible the numbers dont work anymore, but as it is easy to find them and you can still get call stats it looks a lot like it still may exist.
I’m trying to help the OP with options and all you can do is look for things to pick on. Maybe go troll somewhere else?
Having found where you got the info from, the phone number is in the US as, presumably, is the email address. I didn’t know they still had phone contact there, but they don’t in EU (and US can’t solve EU CS problems).
Indeed, I googled the same thing and found the site. There is still nothing to suggest they will deal with wow issues.
The only place the number was officially listed was related to legal and even then it’s no longer available on the privacy policy for NA or EU for that matter.
Even the Blizzard site will redirect you to the relevant section to get support:-
There are no phone numbers for you to call them directly at.
Any you may find have automated messages to redirect people seeking support to the support site.
There is also no email you can email them at for direct support. The emails Support may send can be from that address or a noreply one, but you can obviously not reply back to it.
Please follow the advice by our MVP Punyelf above. Thank you all.
Thank you very much for the ideas. The issue with creating a new ticket with reference to an old one is related to its instant closing because the ticket is marked as resolved and closed because of the “fraud” information provided.
So nobody cares that for some reason CS decided to move the account to Kazakhstan where nothing related to that was requested. That’s why I decided to create this topic with a concrete reference to a ticket ID so anyone from CS can see the fact that a mistake was made by the engineer and now because of that the ~18-year-old account might be lost forever. I don’t think I can explain my wife’s current feelings, but I didn’t see her in that state for a long period. She doesn’t want to think about ideas for registering the new account, because it’s really unclear how the ticket has been closed because of mysterious Kazakhstan. I can attach screenshots/links to screenshots from the ticket if this is allowed here, but I think anyone who opens EU95550573 will see that.
I urge you not to put your account and personal information at risk by posting ticket contents them on any internet forum (including this one).
If the initial response to your ticket isn’t helpful as the other have said you can use the link at the bottom of the ticket response email to reopen it. Doing so will eventually result in it being reviewed by a more senior GM.
They have closed the initial ticket. So the “I still have the issue” button is not available in it. All new tickets are closed instantly because the first ticket is closed with a comment “Don’t spam us anymore otherwise you will get your account disabled”
The only solution I see is somebody from Blizzard members here can raise this thread to CS.
Like I said I found a page (a single Blizzard page) which lists both the UK and US number on the same page and encourages customers to use them. Neither of those numbers were the same number as appears in the call stats I found. This was in a 2min net search. I’m sure I could find more if I tried.
I already said this, but I will do it again:
I acknowledge the numbers may be out of date
I acknowledge that even the pages might be out of date
But if you are the OP and have hit a dead end, why not try?
I am trying to help the OP, how does trying to shoot down my suggestion help anyone?
You want to save the OP from exploring avenues which may not work?
MAY not work or provide help, but what if they were the 4% that did get help from using those numbers
What is the worst that can happen?
The OP rings the number and it either doesn’t work or they can’t get help
If I had no other avenues to try, I would try it if for no other reason than they may be able to get another number or an email that they could use to try to get them out of the hole they are in
Ok, so my wife decided to buy a fresh newspaper and took a photo where it’s clearly seen that it’s Croatia, together with her, her passport, and the fresh newspaper. And now the account is banned. Nobody even read that. They just gave the ban for spamming them after they decided on the first ticket. And nothing else came to the email. It seems that they decided to choose permanent suspension, or I don’t understand something. So I think it’s the end of the journey for the ~18-year-old account with 0 suspensions during that time with all the games bought, 300+ mounts, hand of Adal, full t3, etc.
It’s really sad that nobody in CS together with people from Blizzard on this forum can’t do anything because of somebody who decided that account was requested to be moved to Kazakhstan…
Oh, the account is unbanned now. Probably it was a 72-hour ban. Nobody has sent any letter about that to the email yet… But as far as I understand as soon as we create a new ticket to support whatever we decide to put there - it will be banned again because nobody cares.
Maybe someone knows what is the cooldown for the CS to start working on the ticket created with the same topic which was closed recently? is it 1 month or 3 or how many? I don’t think it’s possible to create a Kazakhstan 2 times in a row, so I think there might be a chance.
I still can’t understand why the clear mistake from the CS person cannot be resolved with support from anyone who works for Blizzard on this forum. I mentioned a ticket id, anyone who has access to open it and spends 30 seconds of his time will see that this is as clear as it can be.
Forum staff, while being Blizzard employees, are not actually Game Masters. They are community managers, and I believe that they don’t have the authority to override a decision made by a Game Master.
I’m sorry, but don’t you think, that in the case you request to move the account to Croatia and provide an insane amount of proof that you really live here, but ticket instead is closed because you didn’t provide enough information to move it to Kazakhstan is not a reason for any of the community managers on this forum to at least try to do something with that?
Not sure I’m right, but for me it looks a little bit weird that nobody can’t just simply change the incorrectly handled case which cannot be explained in any given circumstance
I’m guessing that you don’t work for a living, because you don’t seem to understand that staff, have limits on what they are allowed to do.
You wouldn’t expect a junior police man, to go to a jail and release a prisoner, who was sentenced by a judge, because its not his authority to do so.
A forum community manager doesn’t have the authority to do what you are asking them to do. Only a GM has, and probably not any random GM, but a specialist GM at that.
