And not because I want the game to be “woke” or something. I’d just like to play as a masculine gal or a feminine guy sometimes, simply for the looks.
I know, I know, there are other games out there with such characters. But WoW is my favorite and I’m not going to stop playing anytime soon.
I think that the more customisation options, the better, and this one wouldn’t hurt anyone. Right now I don’t play any male characters because they either have Hulk bodies or Chad faces, and I really wish this wasn’t the case.
Anything specific in mind? It’s not androgynous, but I wouldn’t mind being able to be a bigger Dwarf, like about the size of a full-height orc. And bring on the bling why not, I’ll have a big old medallion on me hairy chest and some kinda ankle bracelets.
I also think allied races should be customizations rather than “unique” races, but that’s a whole other topic.
That’s not the same thing. Female orcs are still distinctively female and male Blood and Void elves are clearly male. The in game jokes about them being pretty girls doesn’t change the fact that their morphology is a muscular male body. I get that you might be joking but some people have been saying that seriously
But that’s not what OP is asking for. OP is asking for Masculine Females, and Feminine Males.
If you’re asking for something else, then I would say that I think Blizzard have other things to be focusing on before adding new Models to each Race.
However if future races like Dracthyr wants to Blur those lines, then that’s fine.
I completely disagree with that. I think everything about them is feminine. Only this week, I was considering changing my Female Blood Elf to a Male one because I didn’t want my main to be female anymore (was originally an alt). But in the end, I realised that Male Belfs are more girly than Female ones. … reeks of oestrogen!
Kul’Tiran human females are little more masculine, but maybe not muscly.
But honestly, as I said to the other person in this response. I think Blizz have better things to do than focus on creating new models for the current races, it’s a huge task to undertake for little impact on the game.
I wouldn’t be against them going this route with future races, but with the current ones, I’d rather see them just spend more time developing a good game to play.
I mean, they create new models every expansion. And it wouldn’t be too much work to add more stuff for maybe humans and elves, since they’re the most popular races.
And to each their own, but I think gameplay-wise WoW doesn’t need many changes.
if you be an little elf ting, dey might consida the possibility. If you be a troll, laugh as you be gettin ignorin on customization. Dat be da sad truth mon.
I’m not an expert on this, but from my understanding there is a different creation, testing and implementation process when adding NPC specific races to the game. I remember something from when they were testing Vulpera as an allied race, but didn’t want anyone to know.
It would still be a lot more work than “hey lets turn this model into a new race”.
I’ll be completely open here. I don’t think the game needs any more customisations for the time being (not until at least 10.1.5).
With that out of the way, when they do start adding customisations again, I would like to see Humans and Elves at the bottom of that list. They may be popular, but they also have the most customisation options open to them already. And I think that some of the lesser races need an update, such as Mechagnomes and Vulpera (also one of the most popular races).
