GM’s sent me here as they don’t really believe I had the Shatari Wrought Greaves, ofcourse they used different words, but that’s the gist of it. I’ll try to be as comprehensive as possible. NONE of my characters on both my accounts are NOT showing any items I can restore, save from vendored items. My paladin has a green I vendored recently and it shows, aswell as 2 epic items from Classic that I vendored on 17/06/2021. ANYTHING that i’ve disenchanted (I did a session of Imbued Netherweave Tunics and some random greens on my mage recently) does NOT show up in the list. The GM’s cannot see it neither. The item restoration page for TBC is busted for me. I cleared my cache/cookies and it still doesn’t work. Are there more people with this issue or is it specific to me? This post is mainly to make the QA & Dev team aware of this issue. Although, I’m sure it will be on a low priority, I’m just a paying customer playing 15y old content, afterall.
They are aware of the issue and can’t do anything about it. That’s what a GM told me. I had the same issue, DE’d my Mind Quickening Gem not realizing it brings GCD under one sec and is thus invaluable in AoEing trash. Anyway, it was not on item restore, but a kind GM still asked me to put a nexus crystal in my bank and swapped it for MQG some 3 or 4 days later.
Basically, just keep making very courteous and obeisant support tickets begging them to please please restore your item, ignore the automated replies to go to wowhead and wow forum and keep clicking “I still have a problem” and again begging a live GM to please restore your item. Eventually you get a good hearted one who will restore it despite previous assurances that they can’t possibly do so. This worked for me anyway, took I think 9 days of back and forth, but I can confirm I now have my MQG back that was not on item restore list. So I guess posting on a forum will help you after all in a roundabout way. Good luck!
Same here. Its been a real struggle for me, primarily with them not seeing the items anymore (once the GM that did the first response saw it, but not the next a week later after I gave my response…). Definitely wonder why I pay a sub tbh.
In original TBC/vanilla right? Because I find this extremely hard to believe otherwise.
Bunch of lazy pigs refusing to offer any kind of help.
Why would you do such a thing even if the GCD cap wasn’t bugged? It’s such a stuipd thing to do that I find the whole story hard to believe.
No it was litetally less than 2 weeks ago. There still are kind GM’s who can restore items, it just takes them 9 day.
I expected to be fire to support a brood of locks that never materialized, and I suppose I am indeed that stupid, I just find it very pleasurable and cathartic to get rid of old stuff when I get the new. Don’t worry, it bit me in the back enough times already before this MQG incident.
Edit: Basically I managed to outsmart myself with dkp manipulation and terrible luck to the point I never got a Tear or Mark or Essence for all of Classic, and after running for 18 months with the damned MQG and ZHC I was giddy to DE them to oblivion the second I got Icon and Capacitor. It’s just the way I am. Only later did I realize you are still much better off with MQG over icon on AoE packs. So what, I got it back, that’s the point.
