So i wanted to see if had sold the item Treacherous Transmitter (or even obtained it) as i can’t remember if or when but i can see there is a quest related to it. whent to the item restoration page and wanted to search for it to see if it was there.
My problem is that i can’t searcher for it there are 2,2k items to look at and i can only see 10 items at a time with a 2+ sec load of each new page.
I can’t search for the item anymore (not been playing for 4+ years) and i can’t even search for only epics and then go throgue them one by one.
I also found out that Humans at blizzard is not a thing anymore as the “support” page ask if the item restorations page was helpful you say “no” and it gives you a new option… "HAVE YOU TRIED TO USE THE RESTORATIONS OPTIONE!!! - (fist to screen gif)
It would really, really help everyone if we could at least sort it by rarity, as i can see it already save item longer by rarity.

Apparently, in-game staff only have access to same the item restoration system that you do via the item restoration page, so in this case suggesting you use the item restoration page, is a valid comment.
There was a reason given, a year or so ago, as to why the items restoration page is not searchable (although ctrl+F in chome can help). It was a valid technical reason, but I can’t remember the specifics of it.
An automated restoration system without filters or a search should not even exist. It’s impossible to find a specific item among 100 pages of trash, with each page taking forever to load up and non responding tooltips.
i remember “back in the day” when you could send a GM ticket, they could use the ID of the item and check if you have had the item on your char at some point. don’t know if that is a thing anymore but the restore system sucks thats for sure.
whatever the reason is im guessing it’s because of the new engine they use. Because there are so many other games that can search by name or at a bare minimum by rarity.
Hell even if they can’t do it. at least make a option to show 10/25/50/100 or more item at once. That would make me go from 220 pages to 22. Then the search option with (ctrl+F) would be more than enough
Sorry to hear that you lost this trinket. It looks like it’s still available in-game, so you’d be able to get it again if the restoration page is unable to restore it for you.
If it has been this long, and the item was deleted back then, I’m afraid that this item is long gone, and nobody will be able to restore it (items can only be restored for a couple of weeks / months, depending on their quality).
That’s never been a thing. Database aren’t infinite unfortunately, and logs (including items history) are automatically deleted after some time.
Items could be manually restored if we had proof in our logs that you had it at some point, but if it’s been 4 years that you lost the item, we wouldn’t have been able to restore it for you, even “back in the day”.
That is correct. There would be no point providing less items to restore for players than are available for game masters (the point of the tool is that players can restore their own items, without having to contact a GM).
what i meant with 4 years was i have not used the system (restore system) for at least that long and last time i tried to use it i could search for the item. Trovlak made it clear, it have changed.
And the item is from the TWW, and i wanted to check if i had gotten it or not because i find out there is a quest related to said item and i know i would have sold it if i have gotten it.
But as Trovlak made clear i will have bigger luck trying to get it again from the raid.
The whole GM thing would really not even cross my mind if the Restore item system worked better. But it does not.
You give me a tool to restore a item but at the same time the system is still running on windows 95 - if i could see more item at once (like 100+) Make it a option so the player connection can handle it. the system would be so much better, as i could just use the word search function. I hope to see that change soon.
Right now the system is more to infuriate the player than a help tool.
