Hi, I barely just started the expansion and am running through dungeons to gear up. I noticed both TW and Dragonflight Heroic drop items of the same level - 389 adventurer 1/8. But, Heroic has very long queue times, whereas TW is quickly available.
Question is: is there any reason to run Heroic ones over TW? In Heroic I noticed I got items auto-upgraded to Veteran purple, just a couple of times. But didn’t see it happen in TW. Is that the difference?
Don’t bother with those. Do the intro quests for Emerald Dream and … that hole in the ground, I forget the name, it will reward you ilvl 415 items and you can gather a full set.
Barely anyone does heroics right now because the season hasn’t started and ilvl rewards didn’t increase yet. TW is likely done right now by people who are leveling, or if they can still gain from the weekly reward.
Only if you wish specific stats or trinkets for gearing up (namely Mastery items don’t exist in TBC/wrath and trinkets are generally speaking, meh as well).
Otherwise, they are way quicker and you may find the infinite timereaver. Also, you can buy catchup gear with badges, as well as toys, pets and a mount from each vendor.
Oh, and a weekly normal raid item is rewarded for the weekly quest.
Heroic’s only draw are augment runes, but those will drop in price as the eternal one becomes available. I haven’t done any random heroics, personally - only qued DotI as specific for the quests.
Correct. TW is available from lvl45 and a very good way to level alts so people (like myself on alts) will spam these easy dungeons to get to 70.
Heroics are max level only, and the rewards are generally inferior except those items I listed - which at the point won’t matter a lot as they get replaced easily.
i don’t think there has been a reason to do hc dungeons since first day of the expansion so if there’s timewalking, do those but that’s not always available. open world content is gonna be enough to catch up with the gear and also you can do m0s tomorrow. heroic dungeons are useless in general
