They had a look at the player count, and when it dropped, they put all realms with a player count that was too low on the list
During this process, they didn´t realized that they would kill ALL RP Realms in EU, and agreed, that the roleplayers should at least have one place to gather.
That´s the reason, why they left Hydraxian Waterlords.
But for Celebras and Zandalar Tribe, there was no hope… they think, we will just move all there.
you’d think they’d be happy to have at least a few realms where the players don’t run away as soon as you turn your back…
I’m not so sure, if all the RP community go on 1 realm, that’ll be great over-all, it might be a good thing long-term, I think everyone that likes RP should move to HW as that seems the place people are going. I personally can’t stand not being on a pvp realm, so… what really is ruined for people is the people that like rppvp
It’ll be the first time i’ve played since I started in 2007 that I won’t be on a rppvp realm the community has always been special on these realms, well in the classic era from Ravenholdt to defias brotherhood and obviously ZT on classic, (RIP)
I think that most people won’t bother. ZT people who want PvP will get a lesser experience, Celeb folks will not be as comfortable due to the language barrier. And it didn’t help that the free transfers off HW practically killed the server, or at least the Horde. The server feels very desolate on our side. I hope that enough players arrive to boost up the population a bit, but I’m not getting my hopes up.
Frankly, ZT being the only RPPvP server and Celeb being the German speaking RP realm should not have been closed down. But it is what it is, I guess.
I know for a fact some of my ex-guild are going, I had to leave due to some people not approving of my decision going to earthshaker so I saved the drama, besides it all ends in 7 days.
My arguement was I like pvp, so obviously it makes no sense for me to go there, also I like the look of Earthshaker, sort of what horde is like on ZT now… just with a load of alliance! obviously best decision for me, those who favour RP more, will go there (not that there’s many people left on ZT to move anyway)… but that was basically my arguement, why would I move to another dead realm where I can’t kill bots/have fun with people farming same daily’s or whatever as me…
Should merge everyone to 1 RP realm by the looks of it, would be great people that actually want to RP all being on the same realm.
My main beef with Horde being so depopulated is - apart from the feeling of desolation - the practically dead Auction House. As a rule, I enjoy leveling characters solo, it’s practically all I do in the game (apart from the occasional dungeon and group quest), so a vibrant AH enables me not only to earn some money, but also potentially pick up some upgrades (if they’re cheap enough). On HW as it stands, this is impossible. I hope enough people arrive to revitalize the AH a bit.
