I guess anti-RDFers are similar to Blizzard that way: they hold on to their own mindset without looking at the current state of the game until it directly impacts them.
Would love for them to set a foot on Ashbringer. Had it not been for some old veterans merging dying guilds together on alliance side, the faction would have died out again as there’s very scarce participation in LFG.
We can’t win this fight brother. Because damned if we transfer, damned if we don’t. The absence of RDF, coupled with limited options in terms of transfer options, is just another slap to the face.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve grown to love the community in my guild on Ashbringer, but given the current state of the server coupled with aforementioned, there’s nothing inviting about leveling alts, nor leaving Dalaran as every place is filled with horde, which means endless griefing.
Here’s the thing. There’s no long run for WotLK Classic. It’s not a new MMO, it’s not growing. We’re at best looking at a slow and steady decrease or at best maintaining the player base.
Randomly assembled groups are less prepared for the content, thus Blizzard has to nerf it. You may not notice it in end of Wrath, but it was the case at the start of Cataclysm, when people complained about heroics becoming a joke and wanting to have at least TBC heroic dungeons difficulty. It ended up with a lot of whines from RDF fans who just wanted them to be carried by geared players in easy content and Blizzard nerfed dungeons.
True. We can’t predict what will happen after Microsoft buys Acti-Blizz. Maybe they will cut further progression of Classic project and cycle us to seasons of Mastery of Classic+TBC+Wrath.
However I would love to see Cataclysm MoP again (despite relations with China getting colder every day unlike 2012 when everything was on the rise there and MoP was Blizzard’s attempt of getting more Asian audience.) Heck I would even be happy if they remaster WoD, adiing cut content like Battle for Shattrath City and some extra for open world activities thet they missed in original. Imagine your favorite expansion expanded with more corresponding lore and raid content. Like Wrath could use addition of cut Azjol-Nerub raid.
It all depends on Microsoft willingness to put recources into WoW remaster.
And why did you assumed that I have none? My main is a mage, but I have feral druid, tanking currently at level 75, when I have time to lvl her up. Also there are lvl 70 prot paladin and DK whom I am going to level as tanks as well.
I played as tanks and healers most of my time playing Retail from May 2005 till September 2018, but since I liked ranged dps role in Heroes of the Storm playing it in 2015-2019 I started playing them as mains in WoW as well (Warlock in Legion and Mage in Classic).
And more realistically, they launched Cataclysm and then went on christmas holiday and the day they came back released a day 1 patch that tuned a few heroic bosses to be less effing annoying.
Well time to respond just one last time to you seeing as I actually know where to find the part where Blizzard said that RDF players thought that heroics were to hard and that they wanted to have the heroics at around TBC levels of challange. web.archive. org/web/20110115025750/ http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/2053469 sadly the post cant be found outisde the wayback machine now seeing as blizzard have purged its old posts
