I guess they could implement RDF for instances up to level 60, but not above that. RDF above that is unfortunate, very unfortunate.
Yes. I am just not doing any dungeons - not until RDF at least. I tell you why.
- I love levelling, Questing and exploring.
- I do not like to do more than 1 or max 2 Dungeons a week.
- I do not have unlimited playtime IRL blah-blah
So IF I want to do a Dungeon I have to travel from where I have fun Questing etc, to where I have to do the dungeon ⊠AND back again when the Dungeon is over.
This can be up to one hour travel time - even with summonses and HS it can be a long time.
I am not going to do this. So no RDF no me (alt is Pally tank) in any Dungeons, except for the rare occasions where I am Questing near a Dungeon, and someone ask me to tank, and I have the time - this has happened twice since launch of TBCC I think.
So not: âBlizz, please hold my handâ - I would HATE that, really - But if you want me to do Dungeons, make it so that I can get there AND back without having spent all my playtime on this.
TL;DR
No teleport => no Vanillataur (or his alts) in Dungeons).
An hour traveling to a dungeon and back? Do you log out for 50 minutes on the way because you arenât supposed to count that
One hour?
Flying from Darnassus to Tanaris takes about 15 minutes. That is northern end of Kalimdor to Southern end of Kalimdor.
The only flight routes that may be longer would be Silvermoon to Booty Bay or something. A flight you will never take for a dungeon.
If you need half an hour to get to a dungeon, itâs either youâre alliance and want to go to scarlet monastery or to Shadowfang keep and donât have any flight paths unlocked. If weâre talking Northrend exclusively, that hour is blown way out of proportions. Dalaran is pretty much in the center of the map and you can fly from there to anywhere in Less than 10 Minutes. Less if you have fast flying mounts and northrend flying unlocked.
But where are the Dungeons?
Nexus and Occulus⊠have a flight point right there.
Ahn Kahet and Azjol Nerub.
Starfall and the horde base east of it. Canât remember the name right now. Flight paths for both factions close by.
Utgarde Tower and Keep
Alliance has a flight path right there. Just run through the Vrykul-Village and youâe there. Not sure about horde here, but I think you just go up the lift and ride along the dam. This is by far the longest travel distance to a dungeon in Northrend I can think of.
Hallls of Stone and Halls of Lightning
⊠also have a flight path right in front of them.
Gunâdrak
⊠Flight path just next to them.
Drak Tharon
This might be the trickiest in terms of flight paths, but it is so close to Dalaran that itâs usually not a big deal to just fly with your flying mount to get there in under 5 Minutes.
If you get one hour of travel time, try monting up and try using flight paths.
Nah, thatâs you nitpicking because you canât deal with your own bias.
If it suits you itâs fine, if it suits others itâs not.
Try seeing a shrink? :*
Highly subjective, my child. I am not even against RDF. I am not for it either. I enjoy the game with or without it because Iâm not lazy and I enjoy social interactions in-game.
But Iâm not even against RDF. Iâm just an advocate of honesty. Admit it, youâre lazy and anti-social. Itâs okay. A lot of people are.
Yeah, thatâs the main complaint here
Have you ever done the main quest for Scarlet Monestary?
Cause it doesnât sound like it.
The one that goes to desolace? What point are you trying to make? That questing before going to a dungeon might take a bit longer when the discussion is about time it takes to get to a dungeon.
I donât see complaints, I just see grown adults crying about something that doesnât make or break the game
Wrath RDF did not give you quests when you entered the dungeon. That came later.
This - I have not made it to Northrend yet
Plus I said up to an hour - there and back, missing boat makes for 5 minutes alone.
Thatâs the one yes.
And?
Yeah, Iâd tell you what I see but I canât be bothered with another forum timeout.
Another one? What a joy you must be
One of them for calling out this exact behaviour!
Try leveling an alt on a dead realm, and say that again
Why would I level on a dead realm?
As Iâm not lazy, I work and study full-time, so I can afford a character transfer, if I ever ended up on a dead realm.
And? Read your posts dude.
Cause you value social inte⊠oh, right, youâre willing to abandon your friends just to level? Doesnât that shatter the main argument against RDF right there?
