It's finally time! For new class visuals! 😘

So this one has been talked about a few times before…

But I think it’s worth pushing, now that we are getting so many new race customizations, and new features added to the game… :slight_smile: And because WoW now has had a GLARING issue, when it comes to even some of the older race/class combinations…

New class visual overhauls! :tipping_hand_man:

I’m talking about adding an option at our class trainers in Stormwind and Orgrimmar, that lets us toggle between different visual styles and spell icons, for our class spells.

A big one that MANY players talk about CONSTANTLY, is ā€œWe want a necromancer class!ā€ā€¦ But if we think about it… The warlock class could EASILY get a visual overhaul to become a necromancer instead.

This would avoid us requiring a completely new class each time, and we could even get some ā€œfantasiesā€ introduced to our game, that would probably never make it in as a ā€œnew classā€, since making a new class each time is complex. :slight_smile:

For example:

  • Necromancer spell effects for warlocks, to allow them to summon undead instead of demons, and different color spells, to match a ā€œnecromancer feelingā€.
  • Tauren Paladins getting different spell effects, to match a Horde Sunwalker, rather than them looking like a traditional ā€œHuman Paladinā€. Or just a ā€œHorde visual optionā€ in general, for any Horde Paladin race.
  • Kultiran Druids getting more ā€œDrust lookingā€ spell effects, to match their dark fantasy.
  • A void and holy option for ALL Priest specs, so that Lightforged Draenei Shadow Priests, or Void Elf Holy Priests made sense fantasy wise.
  • Blood magic visual overhaul for Shamans too, to match our new Trading Post Blood Troll tmog reward… :wink:

This would also make it a lot easier to convert all races, into being able to become all classes, without needing a ā€œin-game lore reasonā€ for some races… :wink: :wink: (Looking at the Blizz devs).

For example Undead Druids/Paladins, since they could just get a darker visual overhaul, to let them use ā€œnecromantic loreā€ to heal (or keep people from dying).

I personally think this is the next big visual feature WoW needs, to its growing focus on ā€œplayer happinessā€. :slight_smile:

Or they can to simply add necrology as fourth spec instead of making a fake necromancer out of existing spec :thinking:

Personally I think that adding specs or classes, would only slow down (or completely hault) the process of us getting some of these things.

But I get people wanting a ā€œtrue necromancer specā€, as a completely new spec build from ground up. :slight_smile:

To me, a Warlock has everything a Necromancer would need, to be a necromancer. It’s only the visuals that are lacking.

Another brilliant solution, to give us overhauls, which is already build into the game! :grin:

I wish they would FINALLY update some of the old paladin effects like Guiardian of Ancient Kings, jesus that skill makes you look like week old puke on a stick

Its such a common request that i almost never see anyone say it. and they are not saying it CONSTANTLY!

Customizations to their form and more skins ? Totaly agree with you.

Warlock can customize pet and druids are stuck with preset forms which are mostly just recolors

To this day i think class skins would be an amazing addition to the game. Something like PoE did but for classes instead, even if they decided to just recolour a class like they did with the green fire warlocks it would be a huge hit. Me wants a void paladin.

I brought it up a lot, but imagine a void naaru prot paladin putting down sarkareths space void puddle as consencration.

Imagine shadowflame warlocks.

Thunder monks similar to raiden from mortal kombat instead of chi.

There are lots of rly cool things possible. Necromancer is also cool ofc. However, obviously this should be disabled in rated pvp

Yeah I’ve been talking about the same thing for a while now, this is something I posted in another thread about new races some time ago.

I think that instead of new races, classes or specs what we could really use is complete overhaul class skins.

Imagine as a death knight you could become a chaos knight that instead of summoning ghouls would summon demons and instead of spreading disease would be spreading felfire.

Or as a warlock move over to the drust, turning your pets into drust constructs. Or as a shadow priest become a Burning Legion Inquisitor gaining fel aura and summoning demons instead of tentacles and blasting enemies with torrents of chaos. Or demon hunters becoming Incarnate hunters, transforming into elemental furies while unleashing firestorms on their enemies. And so on and so on.

I mean it would add endless amount of customization without actually affecting the balance.

So yes I think ā€œspec skinsā€ could be the next big carrot on the stick for Blizzard to do.

That’s what makes DK’s unique though, they are the ā€˜ā€˜undead’’ class. We don’t need more class homogization.

And in the year 2043 Blizzard finally start to discuss DK’s being able to customize our pets. Goes along something like this.

ā€œSo how about we allow DK’s to name their pets to what they want… and I know this is way out there… but… you know… name tā€¦ā€
