One of the recurring frustrations with The War Within for me, is how major content patches always seem to come with a built-in content drought during the first week. Instead of being an exciting time filled with things to do, the patch week feels hollow, draining all the momentum and excitement before it even begins.
Everything drops at the same time a week later—Mythic 0, Delves, Mythic+, PvP, Raids—all at once, creating an overwhelming experience. Where’s the balance? Why can’t we at least start engaging with the new dungeons in Mythic 0 or explore smaller Delves this week?
MMOs thrive on hype, on seeing friends log in and experience new content together. But I’ve already had multiple friends reach out, excited for the patch, only to log off and move on to other games because there was simply nothing to do on what should have been a major content release day.
At this point, why even market February 26th as the patch day when, realistically, the real content doesn’t arrive until Season 2 starts?
M0 is not out? The only thing I can do atm to power my char, is do the new world quests and do the sirens isle for the ring.
Man that is so not a new patch day in my eyes. Basically only questing is out a whole week. Insane to me, when so many people will have WAY too much to do next week. And a lot of people will not even try m0’s, since they will just jump straight to keys… Such a bummer!
mythic 0 should for sure be here, would be a great ALT cath up thing aswell.
its super boring that we have to wait yet another week. i mean i was done with season 1 in december 6 and havent done anything dungeon related since since blizzard for some reason insist on ½ year seasons.
Fully agree. 1 week of pre-season would be fine for the expansion launch (not 2 or even 3 weeks though!), but for mid expansion patches I see absolutely no good reason for the forced downtime.
The only WoW related stuff I will do this week, after the few hours of questing, is watching Quazii S2 M+ and various raid guides to prepare.
There are people who do M+ or raiding who like to take their time with patch content too, instead of feeling rushed through it. They state that regularly here, I’d assume they are not some strange anomaly.
Besides that I’ve noticed that whenever people claim a patch has 1h content, they must be racing through because I’m usually busy with it for quite a while longer. Slow down, life is to be savored, smell the roses and all that.
That’s a “you problem”, nobody but yourself is making you feel that way. You have the option to rush or the option to go at your pace and enjoy, you won’t fall behind for taking a few days to do the queststlines, on the other hand people who want to rush are forced to wait.
Let me correct you here: there is simply nothing to do that interests you.
Because there is a lot to do and absolutely no way anybody can be done in an hour.
People who only want seasonal stuff are free to start playing when the season starts, it’s not like the timeline was a secret.
Every time a patch or expansion comes out there’s always people complaining that they can’t just jump into the grind, because nothing else in this roleplaying game interests them. Understand that the game doesn’t revolve around you, and it’s not the game’s fault if you’re not interested in some of its most fundamental aspects.
You can explore all the new Delves already (as well as the updated S1 Delves) with all the new Enemies/Mechanics.
Yes, they still have S1 tuning, but they are the new ones.
Only thing missing is the new Pinnacle Delve annd his appearances during a Delve run.
