Too many cats in this thread and not enough spiders.

This is intolerable, spiders enjoy the weekend as well you know. Look how happy this lady is itā€™s the weekend! She gets to go out this weekend and eat her husband.

have sexy time with lots of women

Do you want the actual honest answer as to why people get offended by it? It might not be the answer you want.

They get offended by it because of -many- Vegans and their behaviour, to whom it has taken on a cult like mentality as opposed to a dietary choice.

(As a caveat here, I have many Vegan friends who are perfectly chill with other peopleā€™s dietary choices are are not rabid about itā€¦)

To some Vegans it has become like a religious crusade, and a selfish one at that, and one that they have not thought the ramifications through regarding it. It is almost like PETA, who end up killing most of the animals they ā€˜rescueā€™. They use misleading and stupid propaganda to guilt trip people. Anyone remember that stupid one about a bloodied dead lamb going ā€œDo you want the rest of your sheepskin coat?ā€ It was pathetic and ill informed and did huge damage to their cause because it was so ill educated. Why not show a scalped human and go ā€œStill want to go for that haircut?ā€ You donā€™t even shear Lambs, Everyone with a brain knows this, because they donā€™t need it and you canā€™t do anything with it! I remember Veganā€™s complaining that ā€œmusic is crueltyā€ because they use ā€˜Catgutā€™ for Violins. If they had Google or an education they would know that is a term, Violin string is not, and never has been, made from the guts of cats! It was a mocking term used by a classical composer who hated Violins in their works. Cat gut would be rubbish to make Violin Strings out of!

Or the brilliant billboard with a set of pictures of Animals going ā€œPet or Food, where do you draw the line?ā€.

Everyone sensible went ā€œWell, depends, normally, about thereā€¦ if there was a Food Crisis, a bit further along, if there was a proper Apocalypse scenario why not be honest and add a picture of a Vegan and Iā€™ll draw it after themā€

We are Omnivorous creatures. You cannot claim to love animals, yet hate the animal species you belong to. That is hypocrisy. The damage done to the world if everyone were Vegan is pretty grim, and many indigenous tribes would face extinction, Should some comfortable Western pampered kids be able to consign people to cultural extinction and in many cases death because it makes them squeamish? Such arrogance!

Some people canā€™t live on a Vegan Diet. That is a thing. Due to a blood condition, if laws were passed making us all Vegan, I would be condemned to a prolonged and painful death. Veganism is not natural for human beings, any more than it is for Cats and Dogs (and I am glad that trying to force a Cat or a Dog to a Vegan Diet is classed as Animal Cruelty, at least in my country).

You could go ā€œOh, but thats just how society has changed, to accept these things as normal, we donā€™t need themā€

What, like TB jabs, flu Jabs, Polio jabs, curing Smallpox, Vaccinations for Kids?

Donā€™t be disingenuous, you were not trying to spread awareness and educate people, You were trying to guilt trip people, Also, even though the Thread was 404ā€™d when I tried to click on it, and believe me I tried! I would have been within my rights to flag it as containing a threat to me in real life.
A Vegan diet would literally kill me. You would have been proselytising about a real life practice that would have led to my slow, interminable and agonising death, despite never having met me.

Think before you post.

Anyway, on a Lighter note, itā€™s the Weekend, got a recording gig to do, at some point, for once have two days solid when the builders arenā€™t in renovating the house, so I might actually get some decent sleep, Family Quiz tomorrow over Zoom, bit of a poignant one as some of the extended family have went into Tier 2 as of Midnight Friday, so not likely to see them for a while. Bit gutted that my corner shop didnā€™t get the posh Dandelion and Burdock drink in that I like, so may have to get some Root Beer by the same manufacturer (Never actually tried Root Beer, but people say if I like D&B Iā€™ll like Root Beer), Quite pleased with my Family Quiz questions, even if one of them is a lousy stinking trick question (My little brotherā€™s father in law had a stinker of a question last time ā€œWhat is situated in the middle of Paris?ā€ We were all thinking of monuments like the Arc de Triomphe or Eiffel Tower, whereas the answer was ā€œThe Letter ā€˜Rā€™ā€ Because of course, it is directly in the middle of PaRis, so I am hoping to get him back this week.
Then got a lovely freebie session of VA recording for a friend, pretending to be my LARP character, who is a ritualist and potent shaman, Warding and Protecting their new house they move into next week, so that their young children arenā€™t afraid that the monsters daddy sometimes fights (at LARP) are going to come to their new house and menace them.

Then just tat, bit of gaming, lounging, watching with dismay as the date crawls ever onwards and I remember how much of the year has been stolen from me by this spiky invisible little thief of a virusā€¦ Same as everyone I guessā€¦

Whatā€™s more selfish, standing up against animal abuse, or inflicting unnecessary harm against innocent sentient beings?

Why do you think PETA kills a lot of animals? What do you think happens when the non-kill shelters are full? There are millions of pets that are abandoned, there is not enough people nor resources to take care of these animals. Maybe if people stopped buying cute kittens and puppies from breeders, and instead adopted, then PETA wouldnā€™t have to kill so many animals, because there is not enough people to take care of them. Itā€™s easier to blame a company than our actions.

Why would you be against animal abuse against cats and dogs, but then perfectly ok with killing other animals? An average pig is more intelligent than the average dog.

We are not in an apocalypse though are we? Thatā€™s not an excuse. Meat is incredibly inneficient to grow, you need so much water and land to raise meat, causing animal agriculture to be the main reason for deforestation.

As I stated above, raising meat is incredibly inneficient and Iā€™d causing massive environment problems. The majority farm land is used for food as livestock. If we where all to eat plants, then we would require far less crop fields. The animal agriculture causes as much greenhouse gas emissions as all the vehicles combined.

I am not talking about indegious tribes, now am I? I am talking about people like us that have no excuse not to try and reduce our animal consumption.

Can you please tell me what blood condition you personally have that wouldnā€™t allow you to go on a vegan diet?

Also, there is vegan food for both cats and dogs that contain all the required nutrients for them to thrive on a vegan diet.

First of all, I was not forcing anyone to go vegan. As you said, you did not even read the thread. The thread was a very respectful, constructive and well sourced post regarding the horrors of the animal industry. I tried to make the post as respectful as I could, yet I still received plenty of rude comments that where unwarranted just because they felt guilty and didnā€™t want to be reminded of what they participate in.

And please tell me of this condition you have.

Iā€™m always seeing people complain about these preachy vegans, yet the majority of vegans I see online are respectful, and itā€™s always the meat eaters that tend to get aggressive.

If it makes me preachy because I stand up against animal abuse, then so be it. Iā€™m not going to stay silent just because it makes people like you uncomfortable.

If you think vegans are loud, then listen to the screams in a slaughterhouse.

Play computer games (The Outer Worlds finally released on GOG, yay! ), play console games (State of Decay 2 and some games on the Switch), eat snacks, eat pizza and send mail to Twiluna to keep him on his toes.

My routine: wake up, come to the computer while I have breakfast just to check the news, the forums, the mail before doing house chores. Instead, spend the entire morning on the internet. Get up at lunch hour to do at least something around the house and eat. Go for a walk after lunch, and come back to the computer for some gaming time

Why was I flagged for having a discussion on a weekend thread? Pathetic that these false flaggers are not getting punished.

Working and freezing my butt off.

Later sit very uncomfortable in my tiny hotelroom with my crummy laptop leveling my kul tiran for the last heritage set.
