You just look like any other mail wearer in the game at the moment.
They’ve introduced one above average Mail set, and the player base have swamped it.
Hopefully there is more to come.

for me Hunters get one good transmog set (that is missing a belt and boots and has an awful head that I do not use) and I cannot swap out of it.
I hope that the Evoker class will give Blizzard the motivation to make better looking mail gear now.

Biggest issue with mail gear as shaman is that its so often robes / kilts. 
I just went to firelands and got some pieces there.
Mail is indeed the armor type with the worst transmog options.
Very closely followed by Leather.

The helmet burnt the face, I have been telling her to stop playing with fire, but she kept saying she has control over it. Welp, that is the consequence.
Sure, if you’re into the elements or dead animals.
I’m not into either.
My shaman on my other account was using either the CM set, the Naxx recolors or the ICC 25 man set.
The kilts are fine imo, but the overuse of elements and dead animals are not.
Good mail transmogs are far more rare. A friend commented recently how so many Dracthyr are using covenant looks rather than mail creations.
Some mail is very nice. Mostly thanks to Shaman items IMO, nearly all hunter stuff is hideous.

Well the set from Nighthold for Hunters are awesome . And the set from Trial Of valor is not bad either

Hunter set can’t be work by evokers, and the trial of valor set doesn’t look good to me at all.
I don’t want bones on my gear either.
it depends. actually with a shammy im wearing SoO (not the dark shammy one) and is wonderful. same with the venthyr and mxx one in SL
But is true clothes and plates normally have more interesting mog.
I usually only play hunters (every race) so I have no problem finding decent mail mogs.
I struggle finding decent stuff for cloth, leather and plate coz I dont have as many options!
