Currently it’s harder to get Rival 1 title than getting Gladiator in Shadowlands S2. Also, Elite now is two times harder than rank 1 - and that’s considering it’s RSS queues, not the standard brackets.
Nobody plays 3s because Dragonflight S1 and S2 Gladiators are almost the same, although there’s almost triple the amount of Elites caused by RSS in s2 and octuple the amount of Elites in s1.
RSS butchered the achievement value, because previously if you were Elite in that season, more than half of y’all woulda been viable for Gladiator, unlike now.
Just unsub from the game until they fix it or erase PvP altogether, you’re wasting money. Or just embrace the arms of PvE and actually enjoy the game.
(Also, just a side note, since there was this topic about bringing back Unchained inflation: we’re playing a game where the most bloated season ever awarded less than 1 % of the players the title “Elite”… don’t you think you should be considered “Elite” baseline if you belong to the top 1 % of all participants in a gamemode? Why is that not a standard?)
just abuse something which tuning made broken with eyes closed without single addon and call oneself equal to awc/r1 player or what i keep reading from these forums from retocalypses and current dh players from their shuffles lol.
pretty much sums it up regarding arena achieved ranks other than glad. the state of pvp couldnt been done more worthless since df.
Mmr cap is not the biggest problem of the game. Game is just not fun for most people, there are more trash spells, dots, hots, passives etc than in BFA s4 with corruptions.
Free zoo visiting every arena vs bm and demo. I’ve turned all effects in the game to lowest, because I just can’t see what is happening if there is star wars and marvel movies in arena
Who would have fun playing arena with no setups, overnerfed cc, endless deff cooldowns, millions random damage passive spells, big damage spikes and huge healing?
u woudn’t believe, but if game was really fun, even with mmr cap it would be a lot of participation
What you need to take into consideration is that we’re incredibly biased, because not only we’re playing the game at a high level, but also we’re facing very high level players in general. If you take it from the bell curve point of view, you’re fighting the top 1 % above Rival MMR, and as such, that means that there’s a slurry of rank 1s, gladiators, elites, and duelists at that rating, while that should be more evenly distributed across the rankings. So first of all, if you add more rewards, you funnel more people into the game. And secondly, if you distribute the players more evenly, those “Duelists” won’t be forced to play against gladiator-performing players, no matter the spec. In other words, class imbalance gets blurred by the fact that you will be facing actually less-skilled people, leaving more room for outplay and steady improvement in performance.
What we are seeing is optimised performance at a level where it’S not supposed to be optimised. Other than that, balancing the game according to the top-performing players is very much nonsense, for the participation’s sake. The game is bound to be imbalanced no matter what, but what we’re seeing is imbalance incarnates made manifest by actual skill backing the performance, the “worse” players, while there will be fotm classes, would be able to outplay them (or should - that’s a balance issue, not distribution issue) if they perform better.
wow rated pvp made more sense with % based rewards, rewards tied on specific numbers dont make sense when system is entirely affected by participation. I would overhaul whole pvp system but they wont do that so least they could do is make it % based and shorter seasons. Current system makes absolute no sense, deflated season for 6 months which rewards are tied on specific numbers which are affected heavily by participation is the stupidest design.
