IV MIZUK - THOSE WHO RETURNED
https://imgur.com/xbXAsfz
Date: AUGUST 28th - 31st
Time: 19:30 Onwards! Subject to change
Location: Scorching Sands Outpost, alongside other zones in Vol’dun
Faction: Horde, Any Zandalar race welcome.
Event details
An intermittent caravanserai and sometimes festival, hosted by a small coalition of Caravans that focus on the trading of riches and the promotion of culture and labour in more peaceful times…maybe? If they are that peaceful, to be honest…
These events are heavily Vulpera-focused, and I encourage people to bring vulpera that immediately fit the place, thematic and focus. While all races from Zandalar and the Horde are welcome, we still want you to keep in mind the actual tone of the race and land and remember the circumstances around Vol’dun.
CONFLICT DISCLAIMER
This time, we will be taking a different approach, and the amount of conflict and trouble will be higher, including references to new homebrews derived from what little Vulpera folklore we have alongside some forgotten aspects and ideas. Do not OOCly expect these will be purely social and lighthearted situations. Some details have been spoilered for that reason.
Exploring Azeroth: Isles and Islands gave us a new set of facts related to Vol’dun, the most relevant being:
-
Rebuilt Abandoned Burrows, and the Vulpera Hideaway as settlements for vulpera. It is supposed they remain using wagons and moving around.
-
Scorched Sands Outpost as a prospective market for Vulpera and Sethrak.
-
The Faithless are basically extinct. Faithless and Devoted both go visit and may end up worshipping Akunda in order to forget and deal with the consequences of war.
-
Zem’lan slowly being rebuilt as a port for trading. We do not know by whom, if the Zandalari, the Vulpera, the Sethrak or all of them together. What we know is that it works, despite the curse, though Thalyssra states that people were still tightly shutting their doors during the night…
-
Atul’aman was not merely abandoned. Vulpera on the cusp of adulthood dare themselves go there as a rite of adulthood.
-
Other than this, it does not seem like there are news on Sethraliss or anything of the desert being any greener, so it’ll be supposed to be as it is shown.
IC PLANS
- General Bazaar/Souk:
This is more transversal to the general planning of the event and will be taking place during it. Different Caravan wares and games around! Either planned or more sporadic, commerce and trade is a BIG part of vulpera culture. Pottery, home-brewed food ideas, general knicknacks from all over the desert and Azeroth. This will permanently be open for anyone to help and cover. We also plan to hold some communal cooking for each night!
- Trials and Tribulations
The wind carries a judgment that has not been felt in ages, an ancient presence that watches over you. If you thought the evil creature from last time was troublesome, you’ve seen nothing yet.
THURSDAY - Day of Dawn - More Laid-back occasions to celebrate the current status of the vulpera
- Introduction - For Those Who Once Were
Under the last rays of the Scorching Preacher that the Sun is during Summer, we will take a moment to remember those who could not be there, that did not see the future that we would build and that we will honor with our lives.
- ENDING - The Call of the Wailing Bone
The living have no authority to speak over us, for us! This festival shall be conducted on our terms from now on! The III Mizuk is over!
- Gather Sands of Old
There will be a particular situation to test your skills and learn something new… especially those that may have been forgotten. A more frenetic scenario akin to that of the life of any Vulpera…
- Storytelling and Forewarnings:
A moment to let the people just share whatever story they make up even if completely fictional or home-brewed! We’ll travel to the Oasis should the weather allow for it, to also enjoy a short time to refresh as the day cools off, and to facilitate an easier space for a suitable luncheon.
FRIDAY - Day of Noon - Events that will symbolise working and day-by-day scenarios.
-
Scavenging and Succor: While it is planned that we go across Vol’dun to scavenge and trade, especially around the terrace of the Devoted and the Oasis, many things may not be going as well…
-
Hardening, Shivering Paws: Artistry introduction, including pottery, black-smithing, cooking, basketry… Whatever we bring up and whatever people want to bring up to teach and prepare other vulpera to do in the future. And the preparations of offerings that may or may not have certain uses…
SATURDAY - Day of Dusk - The events to tie the loose ends, material or spiritual, and prepare for the next day with a heart at the ready.
-
Memories of What Never Was: Certain invitees may be taking too long to come… who knows what may have occurred?
-
Memories of the Long Forgotten Past: A moment for a mysterious ancestor, and their support during these trying times.
-
Memories to Lay Down Their Many, Many Bones: Steel your hearts. Who knows who is stirring trouble…or wonders, by the coast?
SUNDAY - Night of Nights - Final Event
OOC NOTES
-
Avoid severe IC tensions and confrontations, and take them away from the general spots should you really follow them. It doesn’t mean everyone needs to be IC friendly, but this is not a place to focus on dealing with interpersonal issues.
-
No villain characters allowed. This is not an event to disrupt freely, and you’ll be ignored should there be any attempt without any sort of warning OOC or particular permission.
-
Reduce OOC chatter to the minimum.
