Let me say based on videos ive seen, Ivory cloud serpent is one of the most awful mount grind (and hunter pet grind) i have ever seen. the thing is fast enough already, you will be lucky to catch it and if it disappears you wont see it for another 3-9 hours, if not more.
and what makes it worse, is you have these nasty Elite worms that one shot you that are pretty much plentiful in the sky making the experience ten times harder and worse.
i get there needs to be a challenge with getting a mount, but this is just ridiculous. Especially for the old content that it comes from.
oh and get this, in order for hunters to tame the creature, they need the Nzoth toy thingy which requires you to kill ten opossite factions players in BFA zones, as if anyone goes there anymore and then once your done, you kill 10 members of your own faction.
well what if i dont pvp? is there no way to tame the thing?

Go to Mardivh’s Lab
invite 4 friends over to the mouth of the cave. Once they are there, have them take off all their gear, pop out of the cave for a few seconds, mow them all down with focusing iris, and make your way back to the safety of Mardivh’s lab. (sharding)
Your buddies will have a 10 minute debuff not allowing their deaths to count towards your progress. They can put their gear back on and fly off to do other stuff and come back in 10 minutes
Repeat the process three times and you’re done.
Having gotten the mount in BFA, I find it weird that you plaster the “But it’s old content” on it when the way of getting is as a mount has not been made harder or easier then it was then?
I know some people will disagree but I think it’s 100% fine for certain mounts to be a pain in the butt to get, this one is just a waiting game, like many other mounts are.
Sucks that you’ve given up on it though, persistence is key!
i just find it a hard thats all, especially with all the worms and how fast the mount it, its very overwhelming.
You tamed it and i applaud you, you have many fancy mounts in your collection im impressed, but everyone is different and whats easy for someone can be hard for someone else. depends on the person.
Now if i want this thing as a pet, its going to be 10 times harder.
not when i know its impossible for me. The only way to actually obtain this mount is boosting, which i will not do. not risking a ban.
As someone with the mount and pet i just have to say don’t give up, yes it takes a while but you’ll get it eventually. When it comes to things like this i just tell myself “I only have to do this once and never again”
i also wrote a reply to that message saying i have no friends who play wow. I am also not apart of any Discord communities, for my own personal reasons.

bro… even if you magically find 4 or 10 people who would gladly die and come back every 10 minutes, how can you trust strangers not to troll and kill you?
dont forget you also need to kill another 10 of the same faction after you get the quest. so same process. you make it easier than it sounds. if you have so much of these trusted friends you claim you do, and its easy to find them, then by all means recommend them .
That’s hardly a helpful tone… You do know some people are naturally a bit shy and asking them to join a discord or ask in chat can be a bit daunting…
