J. Allen Brack’s email to Blizzard

What I understand from this:

  1. He’s acting like he had no idea this has been going on for years
  2. He wants to sweep this under the rug and move on as fast as possible

How did you come to that conclusion?

He’s been in the company long enough to know these things, the Afrasiabi situation speaks for itself. It makes all his words look like cheap PR.

What is ‘bro culture’? Is it an American phenomenon?

I don’t see evidence of these three at all.

Read the blizzard statement. He calls it (some allegations) fake and says many businesses are leaving calif because of fake accusations like this some like that. Among other bs.

He knows his day in court will come and that his days as president of blizzard are numbered.

Isn’t the fact that he allowed all this to happen in his company not evidence enough?

Jesus, this guy is insane, he ends the email by swiftly hitting them.

It is and he is thus mentioned as being an enabler of the suicide of that women among other horrible things.

This isn’t about the Blizzard statement, this is about the email he’s purported to have sent out. I have even included it from the tweet linked.

Ye i think op comes to these conclusions with the completr picture. The email and his horribly out of touch and down right disrespectful statement.

“It goes - without saying” is probably how he internally justifies taking no action against individuals that he suspects foul play.

The email is an internal communication, that has been leaked to the press.

It seems everyone is just out to crucify everyone at Blizzard regardless.

That communication does not do any of the things claimed by the OP.

The other ‘statement’ we saw is disgraceful yes but why link an email then want to discuss something completely different.

The third point is a bit of a stretch, but the first two points are very reasonable.

It’s just a blatant textbook PR response. He probably didn’t even write all of it but instead, his PR department dictated this stuff.

I can see that some don’t believe that people didn’t know stuff like this went on. Same as some are saying Morhaime should answer for this too.

How is he trying to brush it under the carpet in that email?

The third point is like a Clickbait point of absolutely no substance.

No. He is doing this to himself. He is acting like he didn’t know this. Accusing calif of not working good together among many other childish accusations. Like it being the reason businesses leave etc,.

‘Bro culture’ is a workplace culture where a group of men feel close together to the point of being like an extended family, but then they exclude women and sexualise women because they can’t be part of the brotherhood ‘obviously’.

It also involves partying and drinking and hitting on women and encouraging one another.

That can get very uncomfortable as a woman if you’re trying to work professionally with those people.

It sounds a lot more professional than their other response they put out.

“I disdain bro culture, and have spent my career fighting against it”

Ok, proof? Never read any mention anywhere that J.A B was some kind of white knight.
