How the frick do you heal through this boss on higher tyrannical? I spam my heals and at the start everything is fine. I can dispell both players but as the fight goes on more damage needs to be healed and its hard to dispell both players, because all players except the tank are low health.
It’s important to understand the damage patterns on this fight.
The tank takes less or the same damage as other players on this fight. The boss melees for next to nothing. You’ll find almost everyone takes about the same damage
You have to dispel one debuff (wither will) and spot heal the other person. Make sure people spread with nothingness or they pulse aoe onto other people.
When the adds are about to spawn, you kinda shoot them out of the back of you, place a world marker and aim them at that. Mass aoe them and they die in no time.
This should be pretty much a “pump hps” fight and pay attention to the person you aren’t dispelling. There should be no massive damage spikes or unexpected incidents.
While this is true, those debuffs never run out. And unless the boss dies rather fast, you easily end up with more debuffed people than one to spot heal. Dispell has an 8 sec cd. Add in reaction time, and you’ll dispell about every 10 sec.
How often does the boss cast this debuff?
Can’t say I like the boss, I haven’t healed it but as a dps I feel absolutely helpless, the damage from the dot and the damage output in general is gross.
They absolutely run out. I looked for their duration but didn’t find it easily.
the duration is 30sec i think but after that time new debuffs are out. Im gcd capped in this fight it feels awful. Maybe it gets better with gear (and tuning ) I usually use vortex to pull them together if possible.
Bring a shadow priest for mass dispel if the debuff is proving to be troublesome.
What.
It’s 30 sec duration, not infinite.
2 second reaction time? Sounds like a grandpa reaction ^^
Make sure everyone who can dispell has actually picked that talent and if they haven’t tell them to do so. On a side note; imo interrupts, dispells etc should have been baseline and not in the talent tree. I don’t do m+, but the people I usually run dungeons with have and when I ask why nobody is dispelling something I can’t or why there are so few (or even 0) interrupts the explanation is “not part of the build I run”. Sigh.
There isn’t much to be gained here. Sure, there are a lot of optional talents for dispelling this and that, but this and that does not include magic from friendly players. It would be like, strictly Mass Dispel for a shadow priest (which they hopefully run anyway, since Bursting), or making your warlock use an imp.
I presume you’re pugging. What I noticed about this fight is that if you’re able to manage your mana, you should be able to survive if the following applies.
- You’re super fast at dispelling, always dispel the one with the lowest HP first. You can not afford to wait (especially in M+)
- The DPS knows when to use defensives
- You stack the spawns and kill them asap
- Know that this boss is a time race, BL is almost always necessary
- Don’t just randomly pop skills when it becomes uncomfortable. Only use defensives when you absolutely have to. E.g. if you’re a paladin and you use Divine Toll for damage, it’s pretty much game over.
I am not talking about just his one specific instance. Having people spec into whatever dispell / cleansing ability ( group or just self) and having them actually use it is a massive help for healers in several dungeons. Even if all the player does is use it on themselves it means one less target for the healer to juggle when trying to pick a priority for cleansing and healing targets.
Almost. Proud granma here!
But ye, 2 sec is a good measure. Either way 1 sec is the norm really.
That’s news to me. Maybe I failed at turning on the bebuff tracker to tell timer? Because on my frames, there were no numbers on the bebuff. And Vuhdo usually shows what I tell it to. Normally I remove debuffs as soon as I’m able to. Tracking full duration might be a good idea here. If it does have a limited duration.
i dispell 1 person with weak defense or always myself. paladin can only dispell one time. and i can heal an other player with dot. and i must manage my cooldowns + trinket. because its very tricky. if people stack and kill adds fast it could be playable. best run was 13+ intime this week.
but i think you play with randoms? its huge lottery here.
use a destruction warlock with imp dispel.
fixed
wow now warlocks are useful again!!!
or just stack mages (iceblock) and paladins with spellwarding blessing
-.-
yey warlocks useless again
A 3 min CD to remove maybe 3-4% of the damage taken. Great.
Also, paladins can just play hand of the protector and pump out massive off heals. thats useful advice, yours as usual, wasn’t.
yep with randoms but also with a group it was hard but they didn’t use health potions or hs. It is really annoying to remind them use def cds or top yourself with whatever is in your bag or spellbar. Can’t remember shadowlands was that crazy. maybe plaguefall with diseases i can not dispell as druid. It feels like doing a 24 key last season
It’s 5 now, and unless it was changed in DF, it doesn’t dispel anything whatsoever (unlike BoP which both dispels and prevents). OTOH it prevents a metric poopton of stuff, so if you’re feeling lucky you can cast it on whoever you think will get the DoT. Except the boss might not want to cast it on an immune target. If you cast it after the fact you could prevent 10 seconds of damage though.
Also, it’s for prot only, so GL stacking anyway.
(a better meme would have been stacking rogues)
dispell 1, heal the other. use cds on the guy and rely on them also using cds.
also the guy that doesnt get dispelled has to not stand near others.
