Hi! I just want your guys input. I play at 1080p and have MSAA 8x enabled. It removes jagged edges pretty great but when in certain places, like in Orbios certain textures still get jagged edges and when I move the pixels move along the edges. Is this normal? If I raise the render scale to 133% this problem seems to be less noticable. this a graphical bug? I updated my GPU drivers.
1080p is low resolution. If you’re sat at a desk then, yes, you will see pixelation on the edges of some stuff. You’d be better off going with MSAA 4x + FXAA High together (advanced menu) if you want to eliminate as much edge aliasing as possible while not tanking performance.
If you have a good video card then by all means crank up the resolution scale too.
Another method you can try is to reduce the resolution scale to 89% or so and enable bilinear/bicubic resampling(advanced menu). This will soften the image and might be a better alternative if you don’t have a powerful video card. This helps with distant objects, but objects close to the camera may look slightly worse if you’re pixel peeping.
Thanks for the reply! This cleared some things up c:
