Last night I came to the realisation that Katherine Proudmoore, Daelin Proudmoore and Tandred Proudmoore all have cockney British accents, but Jaina has an American accent. Is there any specific reason for this or is it a mistake?

She was outside from her home since she was young. So no family accent acquired
*Team America theme plays* I also wonder about this.
She was sent to Dalaran to study when was a child because her mother noticed this skill in her daughter. I'm guessing that the video with her hugging daddy and them singing is a spooky version of the memory of them leaving for Dalaran. So I guess that being away from Kul Tiras gave her a different distinct accent. I speak from personal experience in this respect where living in different places has given me a mix of accents from all places I've lived in. I think Jaina is similar with hers...
Also from personal experience, the native accent usually comes back when a person returns to their place of origin.31/10/2018 12:30Posted by ShayralaI speak from personal experience in this respect where living in different places has given me a mix of accents from all places I've lived in.
It's also referenced in one of her ''annoy'' quotes (if you click her multiple times ingame)
Funny, I never even realized I had lost my Kul Tiran accent.
Just here to say jainas fit. Never noticed her accent because she got muted.

It doesn't normally disappear. I speak a different accent/dialect than my original, but I can easily swap back to my original one as I see fit.

its a bit different for me because i have lived in so many different places, my accent is a homogenised version of them all, my normal accent is different to all my family

You can't go back to your original?
Have the same, though my parents are worse. Obviously there are some words I've forgot, but I can easily swap the actual accent.
I think this gets mentioned in 8.1. Derek asks Jaina why she sounds so much like a mainlander. And Jaina responds by saying she picked up the accent to fit in more in Dalaran.
I always thought she was just pretentious and thought it made her sound cool!
Weirdly enough I recently spent an entire shift at work with an american guy only to be told after he wasnt really american at all....just liked the accent! :/

Jaina lived in Dalaran since she was a child, so she picked up

Tandred, not Derek. Derek's dead. Fished him out of the ocean.

I wonder if Jaina will regain her Kul Tiran accent then?
