“Jewelcrafting
[With weekly restarts] Stats granted by the Elemental Lariat’s equip effect reduced by 5% and it can no longer have multiple bonuses up simultaneously. This change does not negatively impact proc rates or buff uptime.
Developers’ note: Many players have their sights set on the Elemental Lariat as one of their first Spark of Ingenuity crafts as it becomes available tomorrow. Upon further investigation, this turned out to be slightly stronger than intended and we have adjusted it to better match our expectations. We wanted to ensure these changes were in before players invested their valuable resources into acquiring it so everyone can make an informed decision about whether to create this item.”
So from what I understand they don’t care about crafters at all. With this change all the investment (over 80 knowledge points) have been thrown out the window. I now have a completely bricked profession that I can neither make money from or craft my guild members their bis neck slot. There needs to be some kind of system to refund points if they can just change an item that completely ruins MY investment as a crafter
When I played (long time ago, so might’ve changed) Hearthstone Blizzard allowed people to “disenchant” nerfed/chaged cards for their full crafting value. Because people might’ve invested their scarce resources in them only to be changed.
Blizzard should consider doing something similar this early in the profession system. Sure 1-2 seasons later it might be that important, because everyone has tons of knowledge points spent.
But this early it basically means “Well, you will not sell any item and you will also not have points for months to get another spec up”. Keep in mind we are now limited to ~15 knowledge / week, no more one time bonuses.
The pattern is also absurd to even “attempt” to grind/farm. It has an abysmal drop rate, so if you’ve invested into JC for your guild - best of luck with that <1% drop rate or having gold cap to pay for it
Blizzard really need to take a look at this, whether it’s increasing the drop rate or putting it onto the vendor… This is absolutely ridiculous. What other professions have this kind of RNG involved with their recipes? None
If I had known that this recipe was so hard to get, I would never pick JC. All things are so good in Dragonflight, except this mindless no-chance grind for this stupid recipe. (With all my knowledge points spent on necklace crafting since the expansion launch. )
same ! spend all my points for this necklace and now i’m stuck because of this recipe. 6 millions on the AH, no drop, but some people (how many ?) were lucky and can craft them. By the time i will drop this recipe, it will be useless…
