Jin'do is dead. We are leaving

Yeah so basicly Jin’dead is dead AF.
I am GM of one of the largest, if not the largest PvE guild on Alliance side on Jin’do, with x2 - 25 man raid groups. We are able to fill our raid roster more or less since we got alot of guild members , but lately we have been struggling with people quitting the game, and it is a big struggle to find pugs. Server is dead. Auction house is dead. Arenas are dead. PvE outside the guild is pretty dead too.
My guild is seriously considering to leave the server. Even tho we love Jin’do , but it has become too empty to be able to enjoy the game and stay motivated to play.
The worst part is, us leaving will kill this server even further, and it really sucks to think about it.
Blizzard the only viable solution is to merge us with Thekal. Jindo is probable the least active server atm.

You knew that was going to happen the moment they announced the 2nd realm tho.

It was just a Temporary solution for people who wanted to play fresh and skip the queue.

It was not something that was going to work long term.

Should’ve just played jin’do for alittle bit then switched back to thekal when the queues calmed down, As in start over not server transfer.

Should’ve never got to 80 on Jin’do even, It was always going to die after a month or two.

Thekal is dying too what are u on about? Their population dropped by 50% for past few weeks. Same happened on Jin’do, but the difference is, Thekal is still playable at 50% , and Jin’do isn’t.

Fresh as a whole was never going to work either.

Most people knew this… i don’t know how that fact flew over your head as well or why you thought starting on a fresh server was ever a good idea in the long run.

Well I don’t wanna pretend to be a server expert. Most people went to play fresh and I tagged along. In any case this is not players fault or a task to tackle. Blizzard should have made this work. Not us.

You are correct but the new corporate trend is to shift corporate responsibility and costs to the consumer.

if they open free migrate Mograine Ally i am ok for that to.

I have seen a steady increase of Alliance players on Mograine. It is definitely getting better.

Maybe you have to big requirements to people? Some from my guild were rejected in one raid coz of GS, they get some from another 25 raid and now they have “enough”. Maybe boost 1-3 people with 3.3GS and maybe u r looking for people only geared in Naxx to do Naxx?

Server is dead - on contrarywise - I see loads of lives on it. Always meet some1 in the World, cities are full as well.
Auction house is dead - dead? Maybe you play offline?
Arenas are dead - what? I played few nights and was never w8ing longer than 30sec to enter the game for during few hours.

PvE outside the guild is pretty dead - I totally disagree that Jin’do is dead. In my eyes it is very good server. Blizzard slept times where could keep millions of players because of changes in key issues like talents, economy, world etc.

So do not expect the same traffic as it was at peak - 13M active players.

Anyway anyone knows how many people play WOTLK now?

Arena queues are region wide, they probably mean it is hard to find partners. It is fairly challenging to find partners even on the biggest realms, so can’t imagine what it’s like on something smaller

My guy , you do realise that there are less than 900 active alliance lvl 80 players loggin into the game on Jin’do. Evrything you wrote is pure speculation. I’ve played on Jin’do from very early and I can tell you that the server has lost activity dramatically. I dare you to try to form a raid ( even a 10 man) at a peak time.
There are literally sites out there that can tell you how many people are playing on each server. Look it up next time, before you start using a Cross realm activity like Arena Queue as an argument for Jin’do and its population.

I understand and following events in recent around Blizzard they mess up a lot but i can’t understand this “logical” thinking process, so players ask for fresh servers, Blizzard delivers, over time these servers start to die out for whatever reason…so people wanted fresh servers so why after barely 1 month into Wrath these 2 Jin’do and Thekal are dying out? Also, how is this Blizzard’s fault?

At least Giantstalker seems to be doing well.

I will explain. You need to realize 2 simple things.

  1. Blizzard is a business.
  2. Players are consumers.
A good business will keep its consumers happy.
MMO RPG is a very dynamic genre. Things happen unexpectedly, because it is a game built around an online community. So when things happen - you must react and fix.

Why? Because it is in Blizzards interest to earn the money we pay for their product.

Let me give you an example. Imagine buying a certain model of a car. Some people say it may break down, some say it doesn’t. Then one day you are on your way home and you break in the middle of the road. What do you do? Do you just lay down on the road accept the fact that it is broken down and just give up, or do you call a service to come and pick up your vehicle to get it fixed?

My point is, a good company must adapt to situations and not just lay down on the road , waiting for an 18 wheeler to drive it over.

I understand your statement.
What surprises me in it is that you expect, in this day and age, Blizzard to still be a good company.
People on your server, yourself as an example, are clearly unhappy, my 2 cents is that no matter what you feel or think others on your server will keep playing and playing for their monthly subscriptions, what will it change at the end of the day? Nothing, Jin’do will keep loosing players and those that keep playing will keep the server alive in some capacity.

Honestly if i was Blizzard i wouldn’t do anything i would let people deal with what they asked for in this case fresh servers…people asked for them now deal with the situation.
Again the situation seems to repeat itself on PvP servers, they seem to become dominated my one of the factions while the others just move on to a different server, that’s why Giantstalker (PvE server is still standing and active and is also fresh) is still very much alive.

The only thing i would do if i was Blizzard would be to make all PvP servers into PvE servers.

Yes I know. It is.

Blizzard made arenas only for hardcores so overwhelming majority will just reflect back from them.

I told it on the very beginning to Blizzard - make them in more casual style. How many hardcores pay you money? 2k at all? How many casuals play WoW? 90%?

I play on jindo but thekal is really not dying, if you expect 100 gdkp spam every minute then you maybe should have played on firemaw.

Most people went to try fresh you mean,

Noone ever planned to stay on fresh or make that their main server.

They just wanted to experience the ”Fresh” again.

Which is just at most a month or two, maybe as little as a week, Then they went back to their main servers or simply quit the game.

Are you like… new to WoW?

There’s plenty of completely dead servers on retail, Blizzard does nothing to fix them, Why would you ever think classic would be any different?

They don’t care to put in an effort in this regard, You should have known this and planned accordingly

It’s not just jindo, the game is dying giga fast.
Thekal will be 2nd jindo before ulduar release.
During ToC every “mega” server will become jindos as well

wotlk classic is just terrible game, their worst classic remake by far
