For someone interested in lvling. The Joyous Journey 50% exp buff is back out of nowhere at midnight.
Just checked on an alt, it does indeed seem to be back.
Wonder if it’s intentional? If they did it by accident, or if they realised now they accidentally removed it 3 months ago, and finally acknowledged their “oopsie”?
For how long is it gonna be up? Nobody knows… and we probably won’t know until it’s gone, lol.
Also: WTB some form of communicator @ Blizz HQ, pretty please.
Nah, dont expect such a nano technology from these blizzard ruffians, they do all the changes in their sneaky way.
The Joyous Journey buff is always put up for only a month and then a new raid releases. They turn it off and on intentionally.
Without PTR of phase 4? Previous JJ was around 21 days.
Dragon Soul is about to come around - JJ Buff on.
All those people who are wondering if this is “intentional” or asking “Why is it off” when a new raid releases… Are you playing since yesterday?
Since ToC (or maybe even Ulduar, I do not quite remember, maybe even wotlk pre-patch?) it was the same with EVERY new content patch. About a month before the next conent they turned on JJ to let people level up their alts and they turned it off when the new raid was released.
So please, stop wondering about a repetitive pattern.
every JJ buff pop up has always been accompanied by some notification from Blizzard where it was clear when it starts at least, but that time no news around, just silent enabling of buff… I dont log in every day, so would be really nice to let people know when it is up
It’s because I play this game that I know the buff has been removed by accident atleast on one occasion before, and then added into the game again.
It’s also been rather inconsistent. Latest one was up for about three weeks, and another one before that was live for several months. At the start, I remember Blizzard stating they’re implementing the buff before it went live, and possibly an enddate aswell, can’t remember exactly. Now, nothing. No heads up, no shoutout about it being live, nothing about how long it will last. We also don’t have a date for DS PTR (as far as I’m aware), and definitely no date for its launch. It’s just so much questions, and so few answers. Just a short bluepost explaining the rough timeline they’re thinking would help a lot, and that’d be like five minutes of work perhaps? But obviously, that’d require an actual human to be working on this version of the game, which I strongly doubt actually happens. Heck, if you really want to save manpower you could even prompt an AI to write it for you.
And that, my friend is, as the germans say, “where the hare lies in the pepper”. Currently, the dev team consists of the intern’s dog. All we can hope for is that one presses the “implement new raid” button every now and then, instead of the “delete all” button.
