Why is General channel just on your own layer? That’s so stupid. It should be over all layers so you can talk to people and find groups for quests in the same zone as you are in regardless of which layer you are in?
It’s annoying to write in lfg when you’re searching for members for a quest in the zone you’re in. That’s a big reason why General channel even exists.

In the city atleast the general channels are over all layers - I managed to join theirs just fine for trading/creating bags etc.
Are you sure that is correct? Im pretty sure it covers all layers, but only for the zone you are in.
I tested on release, didn’t work. Not in big city but in Elwynn
Edit: Just tested again, it’s layer wise. My friend was in a different layer and I couldn’t see what he wrote in General channel. I invited him and when he phased to my layer we tried again and now I say his message.

What about custom channels or lookingforgroup?
Maybe this happen cause there are too many people playing?
Custom channels work between layer. But do you understand my problem? Lfg channel is full of dungeon groups searching. You don’t search for a group quest in lfg channel, you do that in General channel.
There is no logical reason where General channel should be layer wise and not between layers.
