Blizzard is unbelievable and I’m so sick of these bots…wasted so much time waiting for disappointment.
The waves of tickets seem to be nothing more than a drip. Venue capacity doesn’t look great which begs the question as to how many tickets are being issued in the first place. Feels like Blizz treating real fans with contempt (again?).
I dunno why they dont do stream for it. Would solve issues related transportations to these locations.
I was lucky enough to be able to get a ticket to the event but would also like clarity on the wording where it says entry is first come first served. This is just how queues work, so are all ticket holders guaranteed entry?
Everything about this event just feels terrible.
Ticketing is a complete joke. Firstly the ticketing partner has no sence of how to maintain a queue for tickets or to screen out bots. For the vast majority of people who try to get tickets at a normal human pace it was impossible. And shame on you if you had to click an extra button to increase the quantity of tickets to two because that extra click meant you had no chance.
The number of tickets was clearly inadequate for the demand and Blizzard should have really anticipated the bemand for this. We are starved for Blizzard (or even any other) events of this type in the UK alone, let alone in Europe (and before people say “UK isn’t even part of the EU”, EU does not equal Europe!).
This should have been a properly organised event with a substantial venue and an equally substantial number of tickets to match. Whilst the number cannot be known for sure the max capacity for the chosen venue is 800. Given the guests and side events I can’t imagine there being more than 500 tickets in total, and how many of those will be given to press, influencers and friends and family?
Blizzard has not even addressed the concerns of its loyal fans surrounding the lack of tickets or apparent unfairness of this event.
The fairest way would surely have been some kind of lottery where those interested sign up and tickets are allocated randomly? Active accounts could have been used as a control measure also.
All this has done is left a bad taste in the mouths of many of the game’s most passionate players who quite rightly feel agrieved by this entire fiasco.
This should have been multiple events in a larger venue with much better organisation of the ticketing.
Instead this feels like a cheap marketing gimmick that was palmed off on an intern to organise (poorly) with no consideration of the larger community.
Ey bad taste in my mouth. Was excited for this and haven’t been able to get tickets first time round. And second time, on time and sold out?
Nah. Makes you wanna toss your hands up delete everything. Some of us can’t travel to the IS because of disability or finances etc, but despite being vigilant and doing everything. Can’t get a ticket for our home city.
will confirm that ‘normal’ people have been able to get tickets, myself being one of them. just now the stress of thinking we might not even be granted access.
i managed to get 2 tickets, no botting and on my mobile phone. really dont know how i managed it
Hey, can you please let us know how many buttons you need to press after you go to cart? Just 1 button “proceed”? Or some additional details needed? Last time I got “all sold” when I clicked on my cart. Maybe next time will be luckier.
I clicked the tickets, then how many i wanted (2) then confirm i believe. it all happened so fast
Can you please clarify “the first come, first served” instruction? I was able to get my tickets, fairly…no bots, nothing. Made the necessary accomodations to fly to London, hotel and so on…Didn’t mind the expense as being from Europe I never imagined I would manage to go to a Blizzard event ever… But now it’s not clear if we’ll even be granted entry despite having tickets. Obviously we’re expecting queues but please clarify this further
It’s fixed
I tried again. Multiple refreshes. Go to cart and then sorry sold out
3 people tried. Not one got
I was there at 15:00. On the dot. Added a ticket to cart, sold out. 15 seconds later. There’s just no way.
Lucky that you’ve at least seen the option for a ticket.
Multiple refreshes on the dot and after, said “coming soon” all the time. Not even a sniff of adding anything to cart, zero change of the content on the website, and then one of the other refreshes closer to 3:01pm finally said sold out.
Tixr is absolutely not fit for purpose for anything other than a car boot sale.
This just seems too fake. Actual people didn’t almost impossible to get.
Can’t believe. Despite 3 attempts to get tickets to go onto this event in my home city they’ve all failed.
Mi was refreshing for 10 mins from 14:50. No luck
Does someone just press 100 tickets and they all go there or something?
If anyone got a spare ticket or2 (for partner) they don’t need please whisper me or mail me in game on this character.
Honestly… This game caters to BOTS more than PLAYERS.
Couldn’t even be bothered to pay a few staff to man some phones to sell tickets… for their 30th Anniversary event.
I logged into Tixr at 14:58. Refreshed the page until I saw tickets available to ‘Add to cart’ at 15:00. Checked out.
I already have email confirmation and my QR code ready to attend!
I feel very lucky because I was reading about how tickets sold out immediately in Wave 1 and Wave 2.
Can someone please let me know if they are selling tickets. I tried refreshing at 2:58pm with 4 other friends and it just went from available soon to sold out I couldn’t even see the availability of the tickets. I am willing to pay a handsome sum for these tickets. Please let me know if anyone is interested in selling me any!
lol. Itnsounds so rigged. In my mind I am thinking bots and certain less desirables have gone and grabbed free tickets and will try to sell em off.
I remember when wow was most popular in TBC and WotlK. I went to those expansion launch events of which they had in London.
There was no impossible to get ticket system. You showed up, you queued, you got in.
HMV store Oxford Street anyone remember? Then I think Cara was h to em last time they did it. Don’t remember but it was in Leicester Swyare. You just queued up and went. Wow had to highest active subscription numbers those days and there was still space in a fully stocked store.
I find it really hard to believe that ordinary people have sold out this event within seconds of it being released Very hard!!
