Where’s my cookie, Blizzard? Giving retail boost when u can already lvl up toon there in less than 24 hours is a big slap in the face for Classic players. I would make a good use of classic 50% boost right now because I’m late to the party and I want to collect those unobtainables before pre-patch hits.
Think it might not be just the beta, they were planning to put out the buff the same time they nerfed dungeon boosts with season of mastery changes:
(We plan to roll out these adjustments to Burning Crusade Classic realms at the same time as the Joyous Journeys XP buff 2, which should happen sometime in the next few weeks.)
My guess is, they screwed up on the time line. Releasing the buff for retail, but not wanting to do it for classic because they can’t properly fix the dungeon boosts, which with 50% extra xp would make even more people take that option.

So, funny story: My daughter was super excited about the new Minions movie. She kept bringing it up and saying how badly she wanted to see it. I told her that she’ll always be my precious girl and of course I’d take her to see it.
When the movie came out, I actually took my son instead. Here’s the funny part, he’s 18 and doesn’t even care about Minions. He didn’t even know the movie had come out!
I then told my daughter, “Dont worry, I haven’t forgotten about you,” and then just ignored her for the rest of the day!

This fits exactly for this situation and why the reaction to retail getting buff was more negative than not.
I made my own thread about this, with similar point, but this one actually points it out better.

We still don’t even have Character Transfer Bundles while Retail (where it is more than irelevant) does. Nothing new.
That is likely precisely why. You don’t really need it in Retail, but you do in Classic, due to non existing and/or horrible server management. So Classic players are willing to pay. A lot. Brilliant business decision, I guess.
Lets hope they finally get the boosting fixes ready so they can release the buff soon…
Sooo, could they just make the max level in 5 man groups slurp all the xp when in Dung?

Cant 6-8 weeks for the launch from LK, in august probably get pre-patch.
