Jump from +11 to +12 is too big, while +12 are the fun keys

Timing +11 keys with ease, but then +12 keys are a problem due to the absurd scaling difference. Remove the 10% buff affix please. I’m having a lot of fun in +12 keys because there’s no dumb timer that makes me jump through hoops every 1.5 minutes, it’s chill. The problem is that we can’t practice +12 keys because we always get a different key and we have to do a +11 with affix to get back to a +12.

I don’t like this system.

Honestly they can keep this brutal system as long as keys don’t depleate. Or have 3 charges or something.

Because a low completion rate multiplies the amount of homework keys that are required. And that removes the fun from M+.

3 key charges would be great. Right now me and my group of 3 always manage to find 2 pugs that do silly things. We do the harder part healing and tanking. But the pug dps always manage to do something funky. Just last night in ara 12 a druid typhooned the mobs that need kiting (which i slowed down with earthgrab) and somehow managed to pull the mini boss. He was killed and then flamed the tank for him being attacked and killed. He ALT + F4 it. We survived and it got depleted. Its completely wasting my time. Getting a 12, a pug doing something silly. Then deplete and repeat. Half of them don’t even pop a Defensive at the right time and that infuriates me too.

I started out like that as well. And then managed to form a premade group.

But it dosent get any better with a premade. Low success rate implies that morale is low. People prefer to watch Netflix than hanging out doing M+ because they know that its gonna be homework keys all night.

I mean… to be honest hard keys are hard. I complained about Homework Keys in S3 of DF too. The issue is that I took 3/4 months to get to this “ping-pong” state when I was pushing 28s.

In WW I took literally 3 weeks. Its ridiculous.

Also its absurd the differences in difficulty between keys.
MotS and Arakara are super easy. You can literally time that with 2 wipes.
DB goes from being a meme at 11, to being brutal beyond reason on 12. Every single mob puts a dot that chunks 2M to 3M to players per second, PLUS AoE nukes happening simultaniously. It just never ends ! Its the nuke-DOT dungeon yish!
And Stonevault… that dungeon you can literally forget timing that on 12. Like… not gonna happen.

And you can see in the completion rates. Some are 30%, others are 70%.

I used to be very much against keys not depleating. Some people asked for that and I always gave reasons for not allowing it.

But as time passes, I seem to be changing my mind. Sure, it has negative consequences to have keys never depleate. But those negative consequences seem to hurt less than doing homework keys. Atleast this season.

Yeah I totally agree. My tank friend is totally burned out. It’s the person who you are replying too above my pc has an alt character on forums and I couldn’t change it. He unsubbed straight after the key. He has until tomorrow to change his mind.

I’m getting annoyed by it. I wanted to push this season first time I wanted to push to 3k instead of the KSH and give it a proper go and the amount of silly things happening in my keys is nuts by the pugs. We running others usually no issue. Then as soon as a 12 comes along I feel like people we pick up are panicking. Which I totally get. It happened to me doing my first +20 on DF S1. The final affix at 12 isn’t helping.
To not even wipe on over pulls and people leavin especially it being their fault and they leave is annoying.
I know us 3 could do it. Just need to find 2 more. Our first 10 key on the second week maybe. The pug butt pulls an extra trash pack and kills us. Then Second attempt (which was a small one as we burned our CDs) the pug pulls another trash pack with a dot. We just left at that point. :frowning:

Going to bump this, getting really annoyed by how disruptive +11 keys with the affix are when trying to get +12 keys.

Tried a 12 on an 11 I’ve +2’d. First boss obliterated us. Decided I didn’t care that much and now I’m just doing keys with friends / ticking over.

I’m sure they are perfectly do-able if I cared to be a bit more sweaty - but I don’t.

The difficulty curve should be just that - a curve. Not a a staircase where most steps are the same size and them some are massive.

Same exact problem going from +9 to +10. I didn’t try to push beyond +10 because I don’t see the point.

Exactly. Hopefully next season they will revert both difficulty curve and gearing more towards what we had in DF. The system we have now straight up sucks.

Three charges sounds great, at least you could practice. For me, I have the issue that the jump is so big I am not expecting the damage you see at certain points. And it’s just super stressful because you can’t retry a pull really at all.

Healing as a holy paladin is quite reactive so not knowing when the damage comes or how hard it hits is a bit tricky. Three charges would allow you to spam practice a dungeon with less homework keys.

But generally, balancing is an issue. It should not be this unbalanced between the classes. In some DF seasons the leaderboards had a variety of classes in, right now you’ll only see Disc priest for healers for example. That is just stupid. As is the constant meta stuff, they really have to work on balancing the game.

Stick with the current affix setup, add charges and then balance the classes to make more comps viable OR at least so the good players of the non-meta classes can at least compete a bit.

You only have to do some browsing through the stats, participation, ratings, logs to know that the game is unbalanced right now. Also that most people are getting stuck at 11, even if you can ++ or +++ an 11 it’s pretty likely you might not be close to timing 12’s.

And balancing of trash and bosses in certain dungeons, I know you will always get an “easy” key" But sometimes the bosses in some dungeons are just so EZ mode that it makes others seem stupidly hard.
