I was just wondering about the current campaign in the war within. if i for example complete like half of it on one charchter then decide to play it from the beginning in another charachter with one of my friend.
Once i complete it on that charchter will i be able to skip the half done one?
im asking this becuase in other skips you get asked at the beginning if you would like to skip and i dont want to miss that if that makes sense.
As far as I am aware you need to do the full campaign once on your first character. After that when you use the skip you get the option to start on alts in any of the zones. Or you can just ignore the campaign all together.
So if your main has done it all, you could have alt 1 choose Ringing Deeps and do the campaign there and any side quests or whatever other activities you wish. Alt 2 could choose Hallowfall and do that campaign. Alt 3 could just not bother choosing any campaign and just do side quests or dungeons etc.
Most of the campaign stories are fairly linear so I’m not sure you can pick them up midway through a zone, so to speak.
Yeah that sounds good but what i mean is
if i have already started some of it have i missed to skip option? Is there a npc somewhere in the world i can talk to that i can say i have done this campaign can i skip the rest of it? When you completed dragonflight you got asked the option at the start of the campaign to skip off the first quest giver. Thats what im asking? if i have started that first quest. Have i missed the option to skip ?

i get to step 3
i start another charachter complete campaign.
i make a new charchter at the start of step 1 i get asked to skip
on my charchter thats on step 3 does he never get the option?
Does no one know? if theres anyone at blizzard reading this please make an npc in the main city that you can speak to to update your compaign to completed if you already have done it.
As far as I’m aware no, you can’t pick up the campaign part way through a zone because it’s a linear story. My alts that didn’t pick up the campaign at all only saw the side quests.
