Hows Everyone doing With BEST TALENT SPEC in the game and MEtA ONE THAT Blizz thinks that needs no buff
It is not even on PTR yet, it is just datamined change which might never made it on live servers, like the retribution Leap spell.
I actually like the change to Thoughtsteal and it certainly wouldn’t hurt if they put it to class tree, but lack of interrupt is not our biggest concern.
I would prefer something like AoE stun, uncapped roots or knockback. We are also one of the few classes which does not offer lust or battle ress. One less interrupt in party is not that big thing. It makes run more easy and you don’t need to rely on DPS for doing their job, but you can go up to +20 keys with priest.
we’re kinda suprised too about PVP intrupt ,thats kinda a good start but the question i always askmyself is
Why blizz is hasitate alot about Buffin the stuff Specialy on the Big lack of spot in priest disc side ,we’re not here to talk about only negative spot , just like all the classes it got the positive side too but for now whatever/whichEver you play disc You will always understand the lack of Negative sides
…
I believe they might be hesitant with big disc buffs because the spec went out of control many times in the past.
Back in MoP in era of shield or bubble disc, our absorbs were so powerful, that it basicaly made all other healer specs useless. Back in that time, we used Prayer of Healing to spread and stack absorbs to entire raid. I believe IT caused some guilds to bring just disc priests to raids and replace other healers with dmg. It was not healthy design and it is reason why they won’t make absorbs that powerful again.
After Legion, Atonement mechanics proved to be really powerful in raids when handled well, so the spec was nerfed hard few times to bring us on par with other healers again. It hurted disc greatly in other form of content to a level that disc were severly behind other healers (M+ mostly).
Other controversy is Power Infusion. I believe we are held back with our utility because of how powerful PI is. It literaly makes huge improvements when provided to some specs, that if priests had same level of utility as other healers, you would always pick Priest, because of PI. It is not the healthiest design either. Some people like how it makes us unique, some hate it.
Problem is that Blizzard had hard time balancing disc, because they were afraid the spec would dominate raiding scene again… And here we are. In DF, the spec finaly saw some good changes for content outside of raids with Sins of the Many changes.
I believe the spec should be reworked. The base idea is fine and can be build to fun gameplay. It definitely needs to be simplified, our ramp and dmg rotation is getting out of hand, especially in raids, when you have to fit all your dmg buttons in a short window. That create that feeling that you need to work really hard in order to see some results, while other healers just press two or three buttons and are done.
What I would like to see on disc is a return of Dreamweaver’s trait Empowered Chrysalis, which transformed portion of our overheals into absorbs. That could be actually way how to rework Spirit Shell in the future. I would also love Fae Guardians covenant Power back, as it was great utility, defensive and mana button to have. That would help us greatly.
just give us some damn mobility… Yes, you can do +20s on disc, but honestly it’s just soo much tougher than resto / preserver / pally who just vomit health and dmg everywhere while also being able to either cast on the move, displace themselves, or both.
Ramp times are even bad in M+, where you need 2 GCDs to even start healing (or go oom if you apply attonement with flash heal), and atonement itself doesn’t last long enough for some of the high movement fights
Not exactly.
Divine aegis stacking was good, but what made us OP was the smart heal atonement. back in siege of ogri we could just spam smite, wich auto healed the lowest target hp, without any overheal whatsoever. that was unhealthy
well, we don’t have smart healing anymore though, even if it wouldn’t be OP these anyway because atonement application is made stupidly hard in raids, and it doesn’t matter in M+.
