I just bought Shadowlands, and therefore I got a 120 boost.
I wanted to do a quick LFR run for Throne of Thunder (Mist of Pandaria raid) for some good lookin’ transmog.
But when I go speak with Lorewalker Han @Seat of Knowledge to queue up for it, it says I dont meet the requirements for the chosen dungeons ?
How can that be?
As I used a 120 boost, im obviously high enough lvl and i got way to good gear for this content
pretty much this. newly boosted characters need to wait 24h to queue up for dungeons.
edit:
“After you use a boost on a character, or create a new Demon Hunter character, you need to wait at least 24 hours before attempting to enter old dungeons or raids. It may take up to 48 hours to clear the locks on older content. If you still receive this error after two days, please [submit a ticket].”
Can you imagine people who want Invincible or Mimiron’s Head being endlessly doomed to creating, running, deleting and trying again 40 times a week?
That applies to trials. Of course, there’s an argument that actual committed boosts may not be subject to the same temptation, but maybe there’s an angle I haven’t thought of …
For me the first tier set from MoP is the best looking+on undead not so sure for the throne.
But paladins, bro firelands even dragon soul sets look unieq. Not to mention the WoD Foundary normal and mythic sets. Then the iconic T2 pala set.
This restriction does not make any sense. Theoretically it is made so you don’t create characters, run dungeons, delete and repeat, but in practice that is not possible.
First, we have trial characters. Well, trial characters can’t access any dungeon or raid not only in the first 24 hours. So they have their own restriction, the 24 hours restriction is not for them.
Paid character boost. Well, here it does not make sense because…it has been paid, I do not believe anyone will keep creating and deleting characters while paying to Blizzard per character.
Demon Hunters. It could make sense, those are free at level 98 and are permanent, yet they have their own starting zone that can’t be skipped, I do not believe anyone will create and delete DH playing every time that starting zone. Too much time, it takes less time to just level DKs to 70 in different levels to create multiple DHs and do the starting zone once per character to have one character more to farm old raids.
Anyway in Shadowlands, any DH will start at level 8 so at least by them, the restriction could be removed because until SL only DH could theoretically abuse this, in SL none could.
