I had a level 13 Heart beforehand… now it’s 50…
Can someone enlighten me if this is a bug? I’ve literally just got to 120 a few days ago, I’ve done no world quests yet, I have unlocked them and I have just reached the town in nazjatar.
Any advice/assistance would be appreciated!
There is an Azerite catch up mechanic. You need a lot less to level the heart the lower the level of it is.
For example, I started playing my druid again last week, it’s heart of azeroth was level 39, I did the legendary questline and some emmisaries and by the end of the day it was 65. One week later… it’s level 80
I think you gained 3300 (3000 + 300) but at level 13, the heart needs a very small amount of AP per level.

Thank you for the swift reply, but surely the level going straight from 13 to 50 in one gain is wrong? I know each level requires a little amount but for the last few weeks you know I’ve been gaining a good amount per dungeon etc. but suddenly I gain a truckload?

No, its fully intended, you will find it slows again as you get the level higher, though it will be quite rapid until about level 70. This was introduced so that players are not left far behind others facing a long grind to catch up with others in their level 120 bracket.
There was even a quest that automatically made the heart level 35 if I recall correctly, the catchup mechanic has changed a few times to help players that are just returning the game. I think there was even another that made it level 50, which may have been what you just got.
Well it was a quest from MOTHER if that helps. I was just confused because someone told me the max level of the heart is 50 and I’m thinking why did it just beam me to max level 
Unless I’m just paranoid in thinking it was a bug.
Well if you have unlocked MOTHER, I imagine you are on your way to the legendary cloak questline, so you will probably be around level 60-65 by the time you finish that
