Just hit 60 so much toxicity already

First of people running around in full epic 220+ gear why do you simply refuse to give loot to players like me who need it ? Is the 20-40g vendor price that precious to you ?!

This didn’t only happen once , but 5 consecutive times.

Next one kicking tank for not skipping first boss in plaguefall ? Then we waited 15 mins for a new tank. Party disbanded , taking 2 mins of your time to kill a boss really that much of a big deal ?

Kicking a player for accidental ninja pull in necrotic wake. The guy apologised , trash easily dealt with. Vote kicked … honestly grow up.

Again loot , not with me another player who wore mail ask if he could have shoulders , the shaman said no you don’t deserve your dps is trash.

It’s normal difficulty … such much toxicity in the easiest content ? Does it get far worse from that this. Absolute appalling player behaviour.

I agree that people can be unpleasant to each other, actually that’s one of the things about WoW that never changed during the years. It was worse actually back when people could ninja each other’s loot.

But nobody has an obligation to give you their items just cause you want them.

Transmogs are a thing?

I mean why would you feel entitled to people giving you their personal loot whether they need it or not?

That’s more toxic from you then them. Sure it’s not nice but it’s up to them at the end of the day

Keeping loot for transmog is fair, keeping loot because someone “is trash dps” just makes that person trash instead (that being said they don’t owe you loot either, it’s a courtesy) - as is the kicking for a bad pull… But it’s far too easy to be toxic and get away with it in wow really. Too many keyboard warriors with delusions of grandeur thinking their epeen makes it okay to be rude.

Unfortunately Blizzard hasn’t really been putting much effort in encouraging good behavior either. But the winds of change are blowing so who knows what’ll happen in the future.

Leading by example is the only thing we can do but they’re not making it easy. (not that I’ve always been a saint either)

Aw, poor wee lamb. That was really unfair of them. Would send you something nice if I could but since I can’t, I shall support your purpose at least.

I offer people to roll for items. But if people start whispering me the very second I loot the item with “DO YOU NEEDEEEDHJERHGFERHF ITZ°!!=!!! GIBBB!!!” I am less motivated to trade them away.

Hope the people that view WoW as their job/life reads this post and honestly take in consideration to take a step back, take a really deep breath and think about how you treat other people in a game you want to continue playing.

Reason i’m saying this is because it’s usually the hardcore “min/maxer” players causing toxicity, just like asmongold, who i personally find very entertaining, but i know players like him and the way he approaches the game is very toxic and wrong.

The statements you make in your post is the reason i’d say the problem with wow is the players themselves. The amount of players choking deep on their own pride is too damn high and it’s helping to kill the game.

Some people are like that. I just dont hand it over if i get whispered about it. Asking in /raid or /i is something i personally tolerate as everbody can see it. A whisper i dont. If you whisper me i will absolutely ignore you.

Also Transmog exists.

A minority that doesnt know how plaguefall works nowadays.

Would in that case just try to kick the one trying to kick him in the first place given the rest of the grp probably just clicked “yes” by muscle memory.

Never had that issue and that makes me personally wonder. But that doesnt have to do mean anything. I mean ye sure people flaming other peoples performance but not when it came to loot not being handed over. Unless they had a fight beforehand during the instance already and as such dont hand it over in spite.

Unpleasant people exist everywhere. Actually the lower you go the worse it gets.

That’s premium treatment as of late in my experience. They don’t even bother to ask if I need it, they just ask for the item. Thing is up to this point I needed all the items I got.

Cause it’s their loot? I mean, sure it can be a bit of a jerk move but they aren’t obligated.

Normally I link loot and ask if anyone needs it. I’ve disabled whispers, so if they don’t say anything in party/instance chat it’s their loss.

well, like others have mentioned, you are not entitled to someones personal loot. usually people link it in the chat if they dont need it.

keeping something for an off spec or transmog are legit reasons to not give items away.

and tbh, even if they want to vendor it, its their loot so its also their choice what to do with it.

whats appalling about doing what you want with your loot?

What is actually appalling is beggars, they annoy the hell out of me. Whispering me to demand gear. The amount of “give me that”, “you give me” ive had. Ive even been kicked from groups for items that i wanted but the pre-grouped demanded i gave the item away to their pal or id be kicked.
If i want to offer the gear i dont need, then i will do so.
Do not expect or demand that i do.
Thats appalling behaviour.

I just did

Traded a 226 leg armor to a guy having only 184 leg gs

Sitting in Tazavesh right now, only getting the stuff I don’t need

Add nice people to real id or a community as you grp up.

If you can’t find 4 nice people this way ask yourself is the pain worth it.

In the end I decided it wasn’t and just play solo stuff.

I’m a transmorg collector and go RF to collect sets sometimes. The amount of rage I get at me “You have a 220!!!” is nearly every run I do. I remember at the start of legion I had enchanting and I went to Emerald Nightmare and kept a neck I didn’t need to disenchant to get my enchanting to max as they where 5k gold each at the time. Some guy started shouting “HE’S NOT TRADING GEAR PLEASE KICK HIM , HE DOESN’T NEED” Not giving gear isn’t always being toxic.

I hate that addon that auto whispers people begging for loot, When the addon doesn’t even know if it’s an upgrade. just goes by ilevel.

You’re joking right?
Maybe i’ve read that wrong, but one of the notes these days made it so you need to do ALL the bosses there.

Are you perhaps lying?

I wouldn’t say lying, I’ve seen this myself. Spammed in party chat that we can’t skip it, the tank anyway did, and then left when we couldn’t get to the last boss.

And is that when he recently hit 60?
Like… 2 weeks ago? Since he’s got the achiev on 25/7…

And i doubt he did that many instances after, since if you look at his gear it’s like he abandoned the char after hitting max.

No idea actually, it was ~1 week ago, doing some calling on a heroic. People just don’t generally read patch notes or wowhead.
