Nobody is picking on you. There is threads and threads of proof where many people have actively called-out disgusting comments. These people are redeemable because they apologise and learn from their mistakes. You are no different.

And then you abuse the term in retaliation. By the logic you have used you would also fall under the label, irrespective of anything else you believe and/or have said.
I’d argue that for the most part a mere joke is by far a lesser opinion than seriously parroting myths that are used by transphobes to villainise transpeople. Not that they are not bad or that they belong in public spaces (edgy jokes belong among friends who know you don’t actually believe the sentiment), however not all evils are the same.
Let’s say I assume everything you say about them is correct:
- When they actually see legitimate transphobia they have EVERY right to call the transphobes out for it, regardless of their own personal vices.
- You’re just as bad as them according to this thread.

It was an old joke on the harbour thread IIRC. It was squashed soon after it turned out it caused offence to the person in question.
Imagine sticking up for pronoun jokes and anti-semite comparisons and having the gall to brand anyone else as anything but better than you.
There absolutely was a pronouns joke. It was gross & in poor taste, but it was almost immediately apologised for when it was pointed out how it came across. The acknowledgement of wrongdoing didn’t make the original remark okay, but it displayed a willingness to learn and improve.

In another thread, the one about the harbor, Arabathen made an attack helicopter joke. He too got scolded,but Sig keeps bringing it up and saying that folks defended him, when actually, they told the guy off.

I used to keep him off ignore just for the sake of a little game I played called “How many comments can Sig start with ‘100%’” but it’s not worth it anymore.
Even clowning on him ain’t fun cause he either does it himself or says something too disgusting to justify a joke response.
