Sig, I’m sorry but yeah…That’s generally held to be transphobia and is an opinion commonly pushed by the media, TERFs and other transphobes because it seems reasonable at first glance. It’s basically the gateway drug of transphobia. However, in fact transwomen have been able to compete with cis women for a very long time now in many sporting events and honestly, transwomen haven’t exactly been dominating in all those years.
Good on you for being willing to listen to the scientists but even then, the opinion itself is transphobic and deeply hurtful to transpeople and public perception of them.

Pronoun jokes in public, where other can see them are not great since the reader (especially the young or impressionable) may see them as acceptable and representative of actual beliefs are bad. However I would argue that 2015/2016’s favourite joke about le apache attack helicopters are far less harmful to transpeople than perpetuating or supporting a harmful myth that is, in 2022 being used to radicalise others and as an attack on transpeople and their rights.

Its not an attack on trans people, its a sports issue regarding science, the science is beginning to debunk the theory, and thats okay, we need the science to do that to get rid of the idea there is an inherent advantage, that being said, I dont defend people who make pronoun jokes, unlike these lot, Im not a dirty transphobe
