Just NERF Torghast already, please

dude, I play arcane and frost chipper drops for me anyway, I then just spam frostbolt and win easy, mages have the easiest job in Torghast. Nerfing it would be ridiculous

literally never implied any of that but ok.

Solo’d all of them first time :stuck_out_tongue: isnt really a probblem tbh xD

This means its literally luck? I got one 15% hp buff when I did it. One of the end bosses I faced took away 70% of my hp in single cast+melee attack (that’s 20k damage if you’re interested). Which fine, on a 78k health pool isn’t bad, but on a 30k health pool that I had, I would have died in the next 2 seconds if I didn’t have pots.

I have cleared it all (assuming all is 2 wings and 3 layers per wing) and I am assuming there are some bonuses that you can stack that are much better but basically, I found the whole thing trivial until the bosses and I’m assuming that’s either because I didn’t have the right bonuses, didn’t get the right bonuses or just need to learn more what attacks to never let through.

They also melee hit (not crit) for 10% of my hp

i wonder if people who have such problems with thorgast farm all possible upgrades/souls or just rush to end ? because i find it hard to belive that among those various buffs that you should be getting there is nothing really OP.

or they dont buy stuff at venari ?

wonder what is the cause in such different experience.

I did it on a 110 ilvl paladin… so yes get good.

They stand in stuff, they don’t know how to play their class. That’s the most likely explanation.

I killed booth last bosses on max difficulty for this week as healer, 0 issues.

Let me gief some tips:
-If last boss feels strong this means u didnt collected enough anima buffs from trash , get back collect more and return
-Pick anima buffs wisely instead stupidly clicking on anyhting which pops
-Get some DPS trinkets, like remote device or dredgast one, they still work and scales well
-Make sure to spend thorgast currency on vendor inside instance, this currency will disapear after run anyway
-Buff (pots, food, rune etc)…always helps
-Dont stay in fire
-First do mytic dungeons then go thorgast

PS. Dont call for nerfs without foundation

well u was telling that u dont have time to waste on 6 levels … btw have u see that u can get enchant which can give u leech , also oil which can heal you when u deal dmg or heal + healing potion + other enchants for more dps

  1. Not every class is a hunter, what a ridiculous notion. Hunters have a “tank on demand” they can ress, Hunters are always very good at solo PvE content so “if a hunter can do it” comments are laughably naive.

  2. The powers are random, you can farm every mob on every floor (I do this, even killing every elite, opening every pot) but if you get a ton of mawrat goes boom powers, or get more phantasma, then they mean squat on a boss fight. You don’t always get HP buffs or whatever you were lucky enough to get. Even the broker vendors don’t sell powers that “make or break” a boss, they largely sell “buff x ability by y” or something quite generic. A nice bonus, but it doesn’t completely change how a fight goes.

Doesn’t mean I think it should be nerfed, the challenge is cool and the random element is part of roguelike games, but the amount of comments here that are essentially “Well I did it, so why not you” that ignore stuff like how random the powers are or where one class has natural advantages others lack is just blinkered.

Very few of the rogue anima powers are excellent for the boss fights. The two I can think of are largely evasion lasts up to 10 sec longer and the Jack of All Trades which makes your big CD much much much stronger, but many of the others are stuff like “vanish resets some cooldowns” which are utterly pointless on a boss fight as vanishing resets them, and your cds get reset on a boss wipe anyway.

If you don’t get a sustain power (like when you walk you heal for 1% HP) or something major like Jack of All Trades on a rogue then some of the boss fights are absolutely insane in how difficult they are, even when you’re bypassing most casts with stuns, blind, kick etc because when these targetted casts hit you, they deal a lot of damage and you have very poor ways to reliably heal them in addition to the melee damage flying out.

Take Cromwell. I got him last night, not particularly good ST powers. I kicked every plague cast, dodged all the AOE, avoided the cripple casts/cleansed them but the fact remains is that he’s still nuking me for 15% of my HP every 1.5 secs outside of that and Crimson Vial is 20% of my HP on a 30 sec cd. It’s not like my DPS was crap either as i’m shaving his health very quickly on the pull, fact remains with that power setup he easily killed me before I killed him even if my DPS itself was good.

In that situation having the healing whilst walking power, or JoAT would have made entirely the difference. That’s how much the powers matter. Yet people repeat “git gud”. It’s not always that simple! I bought every single thing from the vendors due to how much phantasma I had hoarded in the run and it still wasn’t enough!

I see you are playing a mage, those are really good at cc/slow/rooting, and not so much at facetanking, keep them away from u and u are gonna be fine, just make sure they stay away from you

I agree with this, I strugled with lvl3 torghast last boss. But after few new attempts I cleared all the mobs including rare elite mobs, I managed to kill it. You need to get lucky with right powers. Lookup icyveins guide which powers are the best together and you stack them. Done with fury warrior @171ilvl.

I mean it’s less annoying than the content being just a loot pinata.

It is honestly so extremely stupid that Torghast depends so much on the powers you get along the way. Either you get great powers and it becomes so easy that an ape can do the entire thing while smashing his face on the keyboard, or it becomes so difficult that playing Dark Souls/Bloodborne while blindfolded with a Guitar Hero controller becomes more feasible.

i find this the most important

although i plan to do it a bit differently - my plan is to first clear 2xL3 straight afeter reset , craft legendary - then farm all possible gear i can in m0 , callings and only then start pushing thorgast over weeeknd till tuesday

no need to rush it too much .

or better idea

git gud.

I’m not even a big rouglike player (my only experience in the genre is with Enter the Gungeon) but I even I get that luck is a big part of it. You just gotta get lucky and make a nice build.

Unfortunately it’s the same as the Mist dungeon “minigame” of odd one out.
zugzug IQ players are hardstuck.

Are you doing it on your mage? I’ve done to lvl 3 on my mage. I see that you’re fire spec, I use arcane for numerous reasons. One is that I can roll back my health bar with the time skill.
