Just sharing a 1-60 Leveling Guide that worked well for me

In the past I was leveling alts while just doing Chromie time WoD which got boring, especially after the nerf on treasure XP.

Then I got this guide on my youtube recommendations and it definitely seems to work better than the things I used to do or other elemental invasions, especially on Horde characters

The idea that this guide seems to have is to alternate between various Cataclysm and WoD zones at the points where they are the most XP efficient due to quest density.

So I decided to share it and maybe save some people the brain melt from the invasions

I hope this helps others like it helped me
I was finding it a real pain to level the allied races for the heritage gear, this made it a bit less slow

Independently of the usefulness in the video (I won’t watch. I don’t even give it a click.), this is meme-humor territory with the claims of speed. 10-60 in 3 hours? Maybe if you spend weeks studying the process and mentally preparing to go into Borg mode when the stars align.

Seriously, what a bad joke. That’s an average of 3.6 minutes per level, less in low levels, more in high ones.
Even with the current insanely fast leveling from 50-60, it takes a lot longer than half an hour for those 10 levels, and that’s with offline times to wait for more XP-bonus WQs.

I always hold a competing approach against such circus spectacle:
How to level with the least amount of effort, bother, stress.
There is an amazing amount of time that can be saved by not shopping for gear enchants and calculating how many you might need and all that. Oh, I guess that is not included in the three hours, right? Maybe the lie is so big that even non-questing playtime is deducted from that figure?

Yeah, people always over-state the speed of their levelling
If it says ‘in 3 hours!!’ it’s more like 6 for an ordinary human being

These speed runners usually have so many consumables and Falling Flame etc
that most people aren’t going to ever bother with

Some levels are instant tho - because if you stack 10 quests and hand them all in
You can just ding through a whole level like it doesn’t even exist

It happens in peaks and troughs

To say ‘3.6 minutes per level’ isn’t the best way of describing the reality

You still have to actually do all those quest before you can hand them in, though. And if you collect beyond anything that is natural questing flow anyway, then you have to travel around to collect them all.

Did anyone ever make a video about calculating how much time is spent with support work for fast leveling? - Like the ‘con of the +10% XP buff’, wouldn’t it be funny if someone leveled 10 alts quicker without heirlooms, enchants, buffs, optimizations or anything than someone who prepared for speedleveling?
After all, and funnily neglected fact, this is (or was?) kind of a typical botting approach. Bots mindnumblingly simply never head for base if it can be avoided, but just keep questing, questing, questing. (But even there, prep time is involved. I just want to underline how much time can be saved by really doing nothing but the ‘meat’ of gameplay.)

that video is not needed. just play any quest u lvl fasttt

Good music is also more powerful than an Alter Time or Time Warp spell!

10-60 took him like 3:20 or so, this was also with 18% bonus . So lets say without it its 4 hours. Then u have to follow this rather strickt guide because otherwise its not worth it .

Also, this is just leveling time, all the time preping for this is not counted , and man did he do the preparing .

That bein said, i doubt that anyone rando ly grabing this guide can do anything near his time. I would just rather do my own way and have it done in 6-7 hours instead .

Oh I ignore the video and the 3 hOuRz!!!
It just shaves off a few hours so like 8 instead of 12 or something. Basically you go ding quite frequently and it good for my dopamine.

Yeah, so one has to realize that one can ding 60 on a char before he is even finished preparing, and if you watch his guide, you have wasted time you could have spent leveling IN A FUN WAY, too.

I made a guide for a game once about the best way to farm something, which was basically to not set up a farm but just gather in the wild, via totally regular, unelaborate gameplay.

When I find things a pain I don’t do them. Especially not just so I can tick a mog option off a list and then never wear it or never play that race again.

What happened to leveling for a bit of fun and going through zones you enjoy or fancy at the time? Naw, its gotta be some researched min-max mapped out process for leveling :man_facepalming:

In life sometimes you have to do things that are a pain in order to get something you want. Anyone who have seen some of my posts in the forums will know I am a transmog nutter, so mogs are valuable to me. Especially ones like the heritage sets which have more effort put on them than most of the recent raid sets.

Because I decided to level the rest of my ~7 normal alts stuck at 50 for 2+ years and 5 more allied races/blood elf, I will be damned if I do it 12 times the regular way.

Also like Nimrhys above, I get some dopamine rush from leveling up

I honestly did not cared for the time claims of the video above. I only know it was damn faster than what I tried before.
