All that anima, and you can’t even supply us with a covenant themed graphic for the portal ?

Besides the one way trip issue… i was surprised it was just a normal portal, instead of something covenant themed, surprised in a bad way.
Was expecting for it to work like the rest of the transportation mechanism that the covenant has…

Dalaran hearth takes you to Dalaran
Garrison hearthstone takes you to your Garrison
Covenant heartstone takes you to… your Inn location 
It’s like they are going out of their way to yank peoples chains.
It’s more low effort content that could have been done right and helped the player (two way portal), but they want you in game longer, so one way the portal is. Can’t have you skipping the long flight routes now can they?
Honestly, I was excited when I logged in and the acheev popped, cos it takes 24hrs (just another L O L) to upgrade I had completely forgotten about it.
Thinking to myself, hmmmm wonder what my good friend Mirasmius has instore for this portal, a cool little quest maybe to unlock a mushroom door that I can teleport through.
Talk about wind outa yer sails haha.

The Kyrian one has a very clearly Necrolord-style spell effect when you click on it. All putrid Maldraxxus green 
Surprised me, so odd in the middle of the extremely blue-gold-silver Elysian Hold.
It should have a warning on it that it’s a one-way portal. We’re conditioned by the rest of the game into thinking there’s a portal back on the other side, like with the portal rooms of SW/Orgrimmar.
For not talking about the weapon ench!

Getting my mains (fae) done, looks nice, gonna fit my DK perfectly (who is vampire).
Logging DK: Random, cant find the ench in the front page, maybe its just a bug of “logging to fast off”, logging back to main, nah, its there, logging back to DK, its seems gone, but says its there…hmm…

Are you telling me those lvl 34-36 something ench are locked to the covenant!?
I haven’t tried using my Fae or Venthyr enchants on other characters now that ya mention it, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if everything we unlock is char-bound

yeah, i have been debating whether i should get any more upgrades and not just spend it all on the existing cosmetics until, maybe in the distant future, we get a “fix” for the upgrades, or a boost, or just…something
They make unique assets and doodads for entire zones, special effects for 48 covenant abilities, already unique covenant themed teleport pads, but they can’t make unique covenant portals, but don’t worry, they’re focused on making quest objective items not sharable because that’s surely something they needed to “fix”…
Damn sure there is a post somewhere here about a warlock saying she change covenant and more or less had to start all over with the anima farming, all those soul, anima and upgrade lost.
If anything, i bet we just need to unlock covenant to our alts in order to use their mounts, transmorg and weapon ench, tho, haven’t tested it, not much to do in wow nowdays so kinda stepping a bit back and enjoy some other games, so only 2 of my 50 strong army are 60, rest are still at 50 (well, might have lvl most of them via rare farming to 51), but, thats a bit it.
It’s clear that the game is telling you to reroll mage, never even touched that covenant upgrade

Also the one way does not bother me personally because I set my hs to my covenant and use the Brawler’s Guild Ring to reach Oribos faster, through Orgrimmar.

A portal TO Oribos, the description is pretty clear, and the transportation network is the given realm specific feature, to help you move around when at “home”, so the portal is technically a bonus feature and honestly a pretty good one; just set your HS to the Covenant inn and all is good
I have unlocked it too and great help, saves a lots of time, you don’t have to HS to Oribos, beg for a mage or HS there, or fly… that godawful long flying…
As for the cov specific design, yeah, a venthry mirror, a kyrian teleport pad or a maldraxxi warp-gate would be nice, but mushruum stalks to Oribos for the fae? that would be silly
Apparently you can carry anima over if you buy stuff from the quartermaster of your current covenant, then swap, then sell the items back to get an anima refund
In general yeah I feel like we will see a mass drop off if the balance of covenants is ever disturbed to a point where people feel like they’ll have a new best covenant and have to switch + grind everything back
Ehh, i dont think you lose the currently anima you have, its more all the anima you used on upgrades for the covenant your losing (if we say you have upgraded everything to max, so, 3, 3, 3 and 5 upgrade).
If you do lose your anima when changing covenant, that is news to me and even worse then i expected then, a bigger kick to the balls if you ask me :s
If you already deposited it into the Anima Pool (or whatever it is called), then it is locked to that covenant and will not swap over.
I was as disappointed a while back. I kind of expected the system to exand to Oribos. This was such a low-effort alternative. Would never have purchased it if I knew it was this lame.

Imagine my disappointment when I found this out lol
I will be honest, I expected there to also be a portal from Oribos back to your covenant as part of it, so I was a bit disappointed. I still use it though obviously. I have my hearthstone now set in my Covenant hall and if I need to go anywhere I use the portal to Oribos. I have my Hearth Kidneystone from my soulbind talent set at Charred Ramparts in Revendreth so I can get to the raid quickly
