Thread is open for deletion! We’re fully on argentarchives now if you are interested in the guild.
Looks great!
Best of luck with it!
Sounds like a very good concept. I wish you best of luck to your guild.
Thank you!
Since it can be easy to overlook in the main post: We’re currently especially looking for players who’d like to join on characters able to take on the IC leadership role of Huntress / Hunter. It doesn’t come with OOC obligations beyond activity.
If anyone reading this is interested, just give me a poke in-game.
An interesting concept, good luck with it !
I joined this guild recently and I have to say that it’s been great. I can recommend it to anyone who wants a casual atmosphere and a fun, fresh take on familiar military RP.
Darnit, if life wasn’t an unpredictable mess due to work at the moment, I’d be sorely tempted by that on this character (still rocking her old look at the moment, sadly) as she’s just been given a new lease of life.
Ah well, always good to see Night Elf resurgence, best of luck!
Hey, thanks! While some decent activity should be a given for the Huntress/Hunter rank, there’s of course no issue for more experienced characters to take on the rank of Elite or so (for the sake of not having to compromise on the basis of OOC circumstances).
So unless you have absolutely no time to even log WoW semi-regularly, I’m sure we could figure something out if you gave me a poke. And if not, hope to see you around in RP regardless at some point!
How much is ‘some decent activity’? It’d possibly be helpful for people looking at this to know how frequently you forsee running events / how often you’d want your Huntresses online
Good point actually. Currently, I’m aiming for one “big” DM event per week while the rest of the time there’ll be smaller scale activities that aren’t as demanding both for members and those who organise it (one example could be a patrol with some minor DM components to motivate exploration/set the atmosphere).
I see DM events more as opportunities to help create RP inbetween events, than just for the sake of having one. So to cut to the chase: being about a day or two for casual RP besides the usual weekly DM event would be great. This of course doesn’t mean that every single DM event needs to be attended.
Can only recommend this guild! The events are open-ended and player decisions have a true impact on the story.
Having been to several events of the OP some time ago, I can at least recommend him as a great DM and a roleplayer! Interesting ideas, attentive and never a dull moment.
The premise sounds great as well, but perhaps a question of my own - with the arrival of Shadowlands and the factional war moving to a “truce”, what will be the guild’s status regarding Horde (I assume hostile, if RP-PvP becomes an interest?).
Best of luck with the guild, always nice to see the scene liven up a little!
Definitely hostile.
The idea here is (as most night elf guilds I imagine) to walk a fine line between what hostilities can be reasonably tolerated, and which can’t. As seen in-game, even NPCs are doubtful this armistice will last or will be completely enforced in different places. Additionally, there is still the whole premise of Tyrande not having signed anything, making the position for night elves even more tricky.
Personally, I look forward to RP out the issue of the sentinels having to hold themselves back on occasions (e.g. not being able to attack a certain Horde party or a base directly), possibly covering up hostilities, waging war more indirectly via other factions or framing others, but also getting in trouble with the Alliance and superiors (or even the opposite depending on the individual ) if they overstep boundaries. I imagine the hunt for loyalists, despite Sylvanas in the Shadowlands, will also still be on-going. In regards to RP-PvP server campaigns, I’d imagine most plotlines involve some kind of “OK” from higher-ups.
Finally, after Legion and BfA having somewhat uniform threats for extended periods of time, I look forward to having a bit more freedom when it comes to enemies and focus regarding that.
Hope that answers the question!
As we still count relatively few in numbers, I want to take the opportunity and test an ‘auxiliary contracts’ system, that if it proves like a good idea, will definitely stay in place.
The goal is to give people not fitting the core concept, adventurers, mercenaries and guildless individuals the opportunity to join some of our events when it makes sense IC.
For a more detailed description, see the section Auxiliary & Freelancer Contracts in the main post. I’ve added two new contracts for the upcoming week:
Everything Is Well In the Forest
Date & Time: Friday the 23rd; 8.30 PM server time
Event Type: Light DM; Exploration; Casual RP
Free slots: 1
Character skills: We need a druid volunteer!Brief description: After recent developments, the sentinels are to ensure nature’s allies are well and healthy. Escorting a druid, they will journey to specific core locations said creatures frequent, be that treant, dryad, hippogryph or faerie dragon.
If you have interest, give me a poke.
Great initiative! Sadly I work until 9:00 PM server time both of those days, otherwise I’d volunteer gladly!
Thornglaive Sentinels are good eggs, RP with them.
Having concluded the second of our two first DM events this week, the sentinels continue to try and uncover any sinister plots the Cult of the Damned has in store for Feralas. After the likely conclusion of this plotline next week, the sentinels of the Ursoc’s Claws and Aviana’s Talons will focus on preparing for the hardships of the month ahead:
The untamed seas and the undead Horde’s of Northrend. In an effort to support the Alliance there, they will sail to Dragonblight and no doubt march beyond. Anyone from outside the guild interested in joining this storyline should keep a keen eye on our auxiliary contracts the coming weeks!
While our numbers are growing and solidifying, we are still looking first and foremost for characters able to fit the IC leadership position of Hunter / Huntress (this comes with IC responsibility only, so no responsibility to host events or other OOC tasks). However, recruitment for other characters remains open.
For now, see you around Feathermoon Stronghold, as our chars continue to dwell there inbetween duties.
With the pre-patch event properly kicking off on the 10th, we’ll begin our Northrend campaign on the 6th of November. As usual, a new auxiliary contract is up for those outside the guild who wish to join a few of the events and generally hang with us while up in the icy north.
Below Shattered Skies
Date & Time: Events from the 6th to 22nd of November
Event Type: DM Storyline; Thornglaives Campaign
Zones: Dragonblight – Crystalsong Forest - Icecrown
Free slots: None for now
Characters: Preferably druids or mages; No corrupted charactersBrief description: With the grip of the Lich King no longer, the Scourge is unleashed. As part of the overarching unit, the Ursoc’s Claws and Aviana’s Talons embark northwards to aid the factions and Argent Crusade in pushing the undead hordes back, and ensuring the assault on Icecrown Citadel can commence. Serving as a vanguard, the two sections will land first on the shores of Dragonblight, paving the way for the following Thornglaive Sentinels. Available auxiliaries are to support them in this endeavor.
Very tempting.
Today, the sentinels will embark towards Dragonblight with Bramblefur in tow, who will provide them with druidic support on the weeks ahead.
We’ll be making a brief stop at Azuremyst Isle while the mariners restock supplies, giving the sentinels a few hours on land to enjoy the village hours at Azure Watch (Empry text mesafgeee).
For now, we aren’t able to take on any more auxiliaries for the events ahead. Likewise, today or latest the 9th is the last opportunity for recruits to join the fold. Until the 22nd, recruitment will therefore be closed IC, but remains open OOC.
While our pre-patch campaign is still on-going, a rare opportunity for a more questionable character has opened itself up through our next auxiliary contract. Likewise, a small update on some of our events and journey so far:

Into the Breach
Date & Time: 22nd of November; 8.30 PM
Event Type: DM Event; Thornglaives Campaign
Location: Argent Vanguard; Scourgeholme, Icecrown
Free slots: 1
Characters: Ebon Blade / DK, Argents, other spellcasters with the ability to manipulate Scourge objects and magic.Brief description: With the Thornglaives unit and their siege machinery having finally arrived at the Argent Vanguard in Icecrown, the Argent Crusade and Sentinels seek to pry Scourgeholme once again from their undead grip. The sentinels of the Ursoc’s Claws and Aviana’s Talons are to sabotage and infiltrate vital buildings and manipulate defenses while the main force attacks the undead hordes head-on. With little knowledge about the Scourge’s magic and defense mechanisms, they require the knowledge of a volunteer to aid them in their endeavor.
