It was in my opinion very stupid to give the 3 most sought-after items to 3 mutually exclusive bosses. Essentially Blizzard incentivises hard reserving instead of fighting it. Noone wants to do a dungeon where it is decided before the start that you will not even get an opportunity to receive the item you need.
To make things worse, the neck has a 25% chance to drop, which means every person will have to do an average of 4 HR runs to get his neck.
But wait, there’s more! The system does not take into consideration the fact that there are way more DPS than tanks and healers combined. Tanks and healers, who are already scarce, have no desire to join groups doing the DPS boss. This leads to the fact that every group in LFG looks for a healer and/or a tank for dozens of minutes - even more than usual.
Please consider doing one of the following:
- Make it possible for every boss to drop any neck
- Make bosses drop their neck 100% of the times
- Put valuable DPS / healer loot in the tank boss loot table and vice versa to make it more appealing for others to join
- Allow to fight 2 or even 3 bosses in 1 lockout
add to the fact that for bears there is only 1 item worth going after once a bear has that there no reason for them to set foot in the dungeon.

Yes there is little leather loot there in general, but bears only have the mace. As if being by far the worst tank wasn’t enough
you can drop the neck on other boss aswell , i saw 3melee neck in one run.
also the offhand is way harder to get so be happy the neck is ez to get
dw there’s absolute 0 for warlock tank aswell
Is this about the neck with agi that dropped from the warden on both run 1 & 2 for me?
there is in fact sanctified 3-piece cloth set with +defense and stamina in there. seen pieces of it drop twice in the past two days.
likewise, there is in fact a 3-piece leather armor set with +defense and stam on it as well.
if you have ran nax even once, you know the sanctified bonuses outweigh pretty much anything else you can get anywhere else (making BWL/AQ etc. redundant which is bad design).
on my first run with my priest i didn’t even have my full 3/3 set.
i had some caster dps non-set gloves and a mish-mash of other sanctified gear, and my renew still went from 400-something per tick to 650+ per tick, solely due to the seal/sanctified bonus.
sucked to lose set bonuses from T2 and T2.5 for sure tho…
and yes, some of the other bosses can drop the necklaces as well.
had a group where our healer wanted Barian for the healer neck, it didn’t drop and he made a sad smiley, but then we got to Kharon (the lich) and it dropped.
likewise, i’ve had runs where the “rogue neck” as people call it, dropped 3 times in the same run which was infuriating tbh.
Agree that the mage bosses should drop the neck guaranteed to compensate for the fact that you can only do one, and it’s usually an argument.
