Hi I am a returning player, I just caught up with tier 1 and some tier 2 pieces. Gs is 880. Is that good enough for karazhan crypts?
Or is this another situation of outgearing the content because more geared players still doing runs for one item?

As long u got some tier set pieces u should be fine and your gearscore is fine too depends if people wanna pick u tho but still u should be fine.
As a rogue it is hard to get a kara group to begin with, gs wont help with that… place is a nonstop aoe-fest…
Dont wanna doompost, but even if you make your own groups its gona be hard to get ppl to go with only a 880ish gs rogue
So you are saying I should be naxx geared so I can run content no stomp content no longer needed.
“To access the content, you need to prove you no longer need it” appears to be the logic.
Sadly this is how i experienced it, doing hm2 naxx with guild was easier than getting kara group.
But id love to hear your experience in a week or two
in what way ? like kara groups are really ez to get into as long u don’t hr something
yesterday my warlock (891 tacotip gs) was refused for an AQ20 pug raid.
“gs a bit on the low end” he said.
kinda funny, because my warlock has 6x T2, 2x T1, staff of ruins, black book, ephemeral talisman, Brood of nozdormu rep ring (revered) and ring of desert winds.
my only garbage item is my neck, which is the star of mysteria from strat.
aside from that necklace, this means the only upgrades i can get are from AQ20 and above (and i have been in numerous successful pugs and been in the top10 dps many times on this char).
lol.
probably dodged a bullet tbh.
These type of groups are usually run by shameless people who are looking to gather a crew to boost their sorry behind.
I’ve been turned down myself on my shaman to heal AQ20(must be something about that place and such people…) a couple of times after I’ve replied to a bombardment of requests for GS and experience checks with my reply of “I know what to do, done it before multiple times”
Imagine turning down an AQ temple geared sham healer for a measly ruins run… they must not know how good poison cleansing totem is there… their loss.
You clearly are not a “PUMPER”…
Pugs are aids, sorry.
To potatomilk. buy Onyxia BoA necklace for ur lock. it gives huge GS for those GSpeeons to fap over
hahah thanks for the advice. perhaps it will indeed put me over the desired gs if i do that.
if only i had nerfed my powerlevel sooner so my gs could go up, maybe i would have been able to join that prestigious AQ20 pug raid.
i might actually do it, because like you said, the gs andy will likely just hover over my char without inspecting it and see +900 gs and be like “good enough”.
extremely cringe that some people operate like that.
It is indeed very cringe. I just always reply “Dont use that cwap” and “probably higher than yours” seems to work wonders. if they complain about my alts gear I link logs to my main and say take it or leave it. but a lot of my mates abused that neck a lot to get into BWL 3 trials on their t0.5 alts etc
When it comes to kara it’s not so much the GS you should worry about but your DPS.
Most if not all bosses have enrage timers which means you need to drop them as fast as possible.
Some classes perform better than others - melee mainly. Casters have a harder time, especially mages.
I’ve done a lot of KZ with main and alts and I’d say you need to be at least between 1k and 1k5 DPS to not be a burden. That’s counting with mechanics like fear/CM/moving out of melee etc.
What we do with the guildies is basically stack 2 main DPS and bring one low gear alt.
Not sure how it is on horde side, but on alliance side rets are solid, ferals and hunters pump as well.
So my advice would be to make your own grp and get at least a very solid DPS with you. You can also go the route of bringing some WB. Some thoughtful alts sometimes bring theirs and either buff everyone or at least unboon for boss fights.
yea this situation does make me laugh.
using a mix of tier sets, seems way more beneficial to me than having the highest item level pieces all equipped.
It’s funny that all the 3rd world people believe you need to have 900gs+ for old content. Meanwhile I pugged naxx as a rogue tank yday and we had numerous people being the avg 800gs pug with little sanct pieces+seal rank. And ofc those low effort clowns win loot lMAO.
People here pickup GS items that ain’t good for them and get into pugs, the avg RL doesn’t even know whats going on.
Normal naxx is so easy you can do it with the starter set from invasions and kara…
It’s the principle of getting sanctified gear, and that lack of effort has been seriously bad. Actual cockroaches everywhere, you see literally everything people do even if those stats dont benefit them on their main role.
