I heard there is now an option to keep chromie time after you reach max level so you can complete the chosen expansion.
Does this extend to doing other expansions as well so I can effectively lock xp this way and be in the correct level range for everything?

Probably not. Most likely you will have to change the timewalk if you want to swap the xpac.
That’s a shame, it feels like even though Chromie time is good, it’s still quite restrictive and there still is no way to just level through the stories of the expansions without out levelling everything.
Still, I guess it’s good that the xp lock guy is still there.
Timewalking is the best thing ever. Getting both Nagrand WoD Rare Mounts within the span of an hour.
The only option is to level a character with Chromie Time and disable experience at level 49, which would allow you to complete all the story of the expansion you want.
A second option is to combine Chromie Time with Party Sync. Even if you are at level 50 if you Party Sync with a low-level character your level will remain 50 (probably on Shadowlands you will be reduced to 50) but you are able to be in the Chromie Time the low level character chooses. Because this only a requires a low level character with level 10 you can Party Sync solo using a second account, you don’t need to pay it, a Trial Account would work.
