Keep Class Halls Relevant

Is there any reason why Class Halls should be kept as old content? Personally Class Halls were one of my favourite additions to the legion expansion, and I don’t really see any reason why they cant be kept relevant every expansion.

They could even add a new Class Hall for evokers if they chose to keep them as relevant content.

I was thinking Blizzard could maybe include new class questlines in major patches so that every class has a roll to play in the world. The portal in Class Halls could be updated to the newest city every expansion etc.

Now they’ve started to reintroduce class sets they could be redeemable in your halls too. Perhaps even a questline pops up when you complete your set.

Interested to hear if other people agree or if people are happy that there’s no reason to use them anymore?

agreed. i can’t think of any reason why they can’t continue as we progress with general lore

I want my favourite space rock to be relevant, it’s the only space rock i know but it’s already my favourite!

True, and it’s not like it’s the only “old feature” we could use in the current expansion.
We are still teleporting to Eastern Plaguelands to use runecarving for deathknights.

I’m odd one out with these things. I don’t care to go back to my class hall. Though I do love Dalaran as a hub.

That surprises me :open_mouth:. The Paladin hall was one of the nicest :stuck_out_tongue:

Absolutely. Could easily be an evergreen feature.

Doesn’t need to be tied to player power, artefacts or other Legion era stuff. Neither do we need to be “insert variant here” Lord of it. Give us cool thematic quests, let us unlock class specific tmogs, mounts and things of the sort. Develop the many cool side characters of wow.

I always think how wrong it feels as a death knight, hanging out with dryads and picking flowers with green dragons… Appeasing the elements… Solving squabbles among merchants… I mean sure there’s got to be generic quests for all classes to do outside of the main story line… But come on, give me cool death knight things to do… All the knight of Acherus are like “we do what the living can not”, well go on then! Do it! What is it?

In Legion I started so many alts simply to play the class order hall campaigns, wanted to experience the different stories… This would be so cool. As for Evokers, loads of opportunities around the Dragon Isles. From creches being reclaimed to one of the many towers around Valdrakken could very well serve as their order hall.

But hey, rumours has it that they fired some quest dev because he might venture co goblin make some “cost of living” joke (perfectly in character, nothing woke whatsoever) so not sure what to expect from them anymore.

I can imagine the Class Halls being relevant for following things as evergreen content:

  • Class Balance development (Blizzard could add quests about major class balances/reworks to make players test them out)
  • Class Lore development (Story quests for Class Lore development, potentially having crossovers with other Class Halls, f.e. Paladins and Warlocks due to new Warlock race options, etc.)
  • Achievement Hunt (Challenges for Transmogs/Mounts/Recolors/Titles/etc.)
  • Social Interaction and general Guidance (having Class Orders as Class Social Hubs would be good to exchange thoughts, builds, etc. with fellow Class players. This would also benefit social gameplay in WoW.)

Hell yeah, forever and ever…

Doesn’t death gate take you to the legion version now anyway?

The problem with adding content to class halls is what happens to the people who levelled 10-60 via another expansion in Chrome time? They will miss out or (worse) be forced to do the expansion for little or no reward because they outlevel all the content.

I do agree though that abandoning old things like the class halls is bad by design but that is what this company does each expansion.

Only if warriors get something other than Odyn’s health spa for an order hall.

Odyn has proved to be a duplicitous idiot, so i wouldn’t want to spend another expansion (Or more) with his place as my class HQ, thanks.

Class halls will come back.

Remember they work a few expansions ahead at a time.

They’re a huge development commitment as they involve creating separate things for each class. Which means they can’t just drop them in.

So yeah people have been clamouring for them to return, but it won’t be until the next expansion at the earliest.

And I’d rather they took their time and did them properly.

The idea of class halls was great and I know a lot of people loved them. I wasn’t that keen on the priest hall as it’s quite hard to design something for both light and dark. I loved the druid ‘hall’ (she was my main alt at the time).
I would definitely like something whether an update or revamp I don’t mind. It’s good to have special things for your class.

I would like to see class halls brought back as an ongoing feature in the game.
Although first thing that needs to happen is for us to find the new leader of our class order. I don’t want (and never did) to be the Leader of all Shaman on Azeroth (and beyond). So a quest line to install a new leader to the Earthen Ring. This should have happened at the end of Legion instead of destroying all those wonderful artifacts, we should have handed them over.

Then every expansion should have an Order Hall campaign similar to Legion’s. I know it’s a lot of work for Bliz but since they’re trying to do less systemic treadmills they might be able to do this.

You know what would be awesome too?

Having a social hub for classes AND races.

The races hub doesn’t even need more than a few story quests as content. Just some visual fitting meeting place for your own species.
