Keep getting some critical error when loading WoW

This application has encountered a critical error:

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception!

Started happening earlier after I’d updated some addons, fixed it by disabling addons then reloading them 1 by 1 but i just got shut out in the middle of raid. Not ideal. Anyone able to help with this? Was told it could be a problem with my RAM or with WoW. Don’t know which one :confused:

It can be a problem with many things, including addons, even if it worked at first after reloading them one by one. The error code is a generic one. If you open the full log (which should be saved to an Errors folder or similar in your WoW_retail_ folder) it might say which addon was doing something at the time of the crash which would be a good first thing to look at.
I think in several years on the forums I’ve only seen #132 being caused by faulty ram a couple of times.

Seemsl ike it was details causing the probelm, i uninstalled it and now i can log in fine. so yeah, thanks for the help :slight_smile: hopefully i can just reinstall it

It depends. If it’s an issue with the addon itself, it’ll likely continue to crash (even if it’s not instant). If it’s an issue with some corrupted data of the addon, you’d have to reset it by removing anything related to it, as some information for addons is stored within the WTF folder instead of Interface.

you are my lord savior FINALY i being deleting cache/wtf files and it let me logging wow again while it reset my WHOLE UI i logged out for second time of the day and the problem seem to reappear now u said that it being caused by Detail and i could log back in again after disable it

I too have this issue but I can’t fix it! I’ve tried doing what was suggested by looking into WTF files & updating/uinstalling addons & even twitch but upon reinstalling any addon it just resumes the error. @Nyshae can you please help me?

Honestly you’re better off opening your own thread and posting your log if you can’t figure out which addon it is from the function doing something when the game crashes. If you’re only crashing upon reinstalling an addon, then either they’re not being fully removed (as mentioned above they can leave files behind in the WTF folder even when uninstalled from Interface) or the problem is a function more than one addon uses.

are u running msi afterburner i just had same issue if you close it wow works
