Just going to copy paste my answer in another thread:
So I have found the following:

  • Dreamsurge now gives 428 gear for the weekly (but if you catalyse it, it won’t give appearance and you can’t upgrade it?) and 415 tokens with the dust.
  • Time rift weekly now gives 428 adventurer gear, upgradable. I am going to get a piece, catalyse it and see what happens.
  • Suffusion camp still gives old gear however the quests give the current crests and so are worth doing.
  • World quests now give 415 gear minimum, upgradable.
  • Emerald Dream: 2 Weeklies give 441 gear and the quest/drop gear gives you 415+ which can be upgraded via flightstones. However, I’ve had a few adventurer drops too.
  • Haven’t checked Niffen yet

Edit: Niffen gives old gear but current whelp crests.

The two weeklies are “Worthy Ally: Dream Wardens” and a quest to do the Superbloom.

I believe you can get flightstones from seeds and treasures, but certainly won’t be a big amount.
The majority of flightstones will still come from spaming dungeons.
I didn’t check the heroic dungeon quest yet but I assume it is still 415 ilvl for now as well as the time walking thing.
From next week I imagine both ilvls will be raised.

I am not an outdoor expert but flightstones are probably as much of a problem as farming crests if you dont do dungeons

There’s a third weekly that gives 441 for planting 5 seeds at bounty events. I think you need to do a breadcrumb quest first to unlock it, but can’t remember for sure.

I think just farming rep and doing all side quests is the most efficient thing you can do now. You’ll also need the rep for the rune anyway. If you wanna catch up, don’t do stuff like the Niffen weekly. Not worth it. At most you could do a time rift, but I recommend staying in the emeral dream

These are definitely worth doing for gear, both a weekly quest.

so only thing worth doing is Emerald dream weeklies + suffusion camp for crests.

does zaralek cavern still have those weekly 5/10/15 caches with crests ?

I haven’t checked because I don’t bother as the farm for it is ridiculous.

Remember when you just did content, it droped gear and thats it. Honestly what the hell is all this nonsense. Quadrzilion itemlvl brackest. Somezhing can be upgraded, something doesnt, something can be only until somezhing happen. Then you need quadrizlion different curencies…

A guy in shadowlands add my as friend. Then he asked me if like i dont have any gems for jwl or what proffs i am having. He propably was liie new player and he didnt even know that SL was no longer relevant ror professions. Imagine try explain players like him 10.2 gearing. No wonder this game is ghost town with no new players coming in.:joy:

This game is next to impossible for new players to get into, I would never recommend it to new players.

The simple part of it is to just do the emerald dream and upgrade as you can. If you want to grind it, there’s the list of all the stuff and it makes the old content relevant. Not that confusing for me, really.
